Abbie could barely keep her eyes open, she hadn’t gotten to bed until four and she had to be up at seven for college. It seemed like the day was just dragging. By the time lunch came around, Abbie was more than ready to go home. She picked at the day’s meal, corn chicken bites, french fries, peaches and a brownie. She wasn’t really hungry, but ate anyway. She knew better than to let good food go to waste. The bell rang and slowly the students stood up and started to deposit their trays. Fletcher was one of the last to leave the cafeteria. As she walked to her next class, she wasn’t watching where she was going and abruptly walked into somebody, causing books and papers from both parties to go falling to the floor. “Look where you are going.” She said, glaring up at the guy standing across from her.

Winter had finally graced it's prescience; the icy breeze swept everybody of there well-groomed sleek hair. Abbie was walking cautiously down the road, her hands wrapped around her chest defensively. Her heart pounding was audible in her ear and scrutinizing glares from passer's by wrapped around her in an instant. Finally settling into the warm bar that she'd found just a few streets ahead of her house, she sat down, poised on the bar stall that situated directly opposite the glossy mahogany bar; flashing the bar attender a supple smile, she threw a note onto the surface. "That'll keep me going all night." She murmured, acknowledging his grin as he swept the note off the glossy top and whipped it in-between his fingers.
