Resident dj @ Ritual in Club Voodoo of Letterkenny , this year tony is playing with some of the biggest names in the dance scene with some unmissable upcoming nites such as,, green velvet 1st may & dave clarke 19th june & felix the housecat has played on such events like homelands 2000, planetlove 2007, 2008 & now has been added to this years planetlove Ireland 09 line up
He was awarded Best Resident DJ for 2008 At the slick dj Irish Dance Music Awards,
narrowly missing out on winning this years title to Lushs Col hamilton. Along with his exciting line up at his monthly residency at Ritual, Voodoo, Tony also has a weekly 2 hour slot on www.Cuelk.com, Letterkennys most popular Dance Music Station.

    • RITUAL CLUB VOODOO

      Ritual Re-Launch at Voodoo

      Voodoo are delighted to announce an astonishing Ritual re-launch with an access all area’s May Day Bank Holiday weekend line up , playing host to one of Voodoo’s most star studded bill in its 3 year history. The bill brings together established electronic music icons such as Green Velvet and Alan Simms.

      This very special show goes one further than previous events which have always showcased sell-out shows from the world’s top names, including Paul Van Dyk, Eddie Halliwell, Sebastian Ingrosso to name a few.

      Green Velvet needs little in the way of introduction – a techno pioneer in the true sense, and a long time favourite in Ireland for some years. Over the course of a decade, Curtis Jones has performed countless sell-out shows in Belfast and Dublin. His back catalogue is stunning, boasting LP's such as 'Constant Chaos', which is regarded by critics to be a seminal electronic composition, as well as singles including 'Flash', 'Shake and Pop' and 'La La Land', all of which remain the mainstay of DJ set lists the world over.

      Alan Simms has stood at the forefront of Irish underground dance music culture for almost 20 years. While he was introducing Belfast to seminal artists like Slam, Andrew Weatherall & Dave Clarke as a promoter in the mid-90s, Alan was cutting his teeth as a DJ, raising temperatures in clubs all across Europe.

      Since establishing Shine in 1995, Simms has single handedly established Belfast as one of the most important clubbing cities in the UK, attracting luminaries such as Soulwax, Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox & Erol Alkan to his club. Throughout its 14-year history, Alan has maintained a position as Shine's main resident DJ, yet continues to pioneer and promote cutting edge dance music.

      These two acts alone are enough to warrant the expected unprecedented demand for this event, never mind the addition of Voodoo’s favourite & Award Winning resident Tony Watters.

      The return of Ritual promises a massive year of international DJ’s some of which have already been confirmed such as Dave Clarke on 19th June

      All this for a budget €15 ticket price, expect this one to stay true to tradition and sell out in advance.
