Seeing that the fourth Streets album is called Everything is Borrowed, and remembering the world-weary mood of its brutally honest predecessor, The Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living, the wary listener could be forgiven for expecting a cynical expose of the second-hand nature of 21st century experience.
Guess again.

If you're really 2008, then you should get the USB key. It looks like a lighter, but it has the album on it and also gets you access to a special place online where we will post lots of interesting stuff. We're really excited about this cos it means we can put really lairy stuff up without getting in too much trouble.

SkinnerBlog 14.9.08 - A lake on a mountain
I flew over a lake in the middle of the Alps. It looked so unbelievably remote. Just sitting there. Not a ripple or a boat or a bird. I didn't know anyone on the plane. In a way i felt just like that lake. Even though there was someone sitting only centimetres from me. There is an unsaid code that as long as no eye contact is made, we can go on ignoring each other on public transport. We carry on our thoughts and actions like the lonely lake. I'm now doing two blogs. One for MySpace and one for the USB dongle. Hardly anyone will buy the dongle because I don't have many fans that can be bothered to get such an esoteric item. It is for this reason that I decided that I would dedicate extra thoughts, photos and songs to these people for the extra 30 quid or whatever it is. The area will exist for a limited time only. Till the end of my label deal which is for 2 more years.
If you're in Australia maybe you can get one on ebay. I'll see if Mayhem can sell them on our official Beat Stevie eBay account. This would, of course, be illegal.
For all the people that are taking the day off work on Monday for reasons illegal, we will have good vibes. It shouldn't be too busy because of the short notice nature. I'm looking forward to a uniquely intimate moment to speak to my fandem. I will have security with me just in case someone pulls a gun, though.
On the tour we will hopefully be borrowing a few people from a few shows in the UK to take them to shows and parties in other towns. So far nothing in Europe but fingers crossed we can find a suitable club promoter to partner with. This won't be no Vodafone meet the band and hang out bollocks. This is the real deal Beat Stevie coming to your town vibes. Mayhem in the building buying drinks harsh.
I love you all man. Thanks for the support and kind words so far. I'm really looking forward to the next few months. There's going to be a lot of new words invented.
