Spotting Guide
When In the gym, and I need a spot, I always ask;
"Alright man, can you give me a spot over here?"
Now, notice I didnt say "will you", I said "can you", as in, do you fucking know how to give me a spot. If not, dont come near me. There's no shame in it; there's some excercises that I dont know how to spot guys for, and if asked, I'll say it; "I dont know how, I might ruin your excercise, but if you really want, I'll try my best".
Rules for Spotting;
1) We only need thiiiiiiiis much help. Everyone has a "sticking point", we can get to that point, after that point, but not past that point. When we hit that sticking point, thats where the spotter steps in with a little lift, just to get us past it. We can do the rest.
2) Wipe yourself! Some dirty fuckers sweat down on top of you! Mingin!
3) I only need help on the last couple of sets; not from the word go. Just stand there till your needed!
4) Stay quiet! If I'm doing something wrong, thats fine, but tell me afterwards! Just say Hey G, look, I was watching you bench, and I dont think your letting the bar down far enouigh, or you're just droppig the bar too quicj, try to resist it on the negative as well as the positive... Dont just tower over me on the bench screaming YOUR DOING IT WRONG! STOP DOING IT WRONG!!
5) Keep your eyes on ME, not the telly, not the hot chick that strolled by. The amount of times I've failed because my spotter was watching the Call on Me video on the telly....
And there's so many guys in the gym that dont know these things. One time I was getting a spot for dumbell presses, and the guy was helping me by grabbing my WRISTS. Another time, barbell curls, he just grabbed one side and uphealed the whole lot. At best, you're going to piss me off, but at worst, you could seriously injure people.
Spotters need to be THERE, thats all. Half the time, I'll complete the excercise if I know someones there to help; it's a psychological thing. You can lift the bar, some guy just putting two fingers under it at the last minute doesnt "help" you as such, but in your mind the weight suddenly becomes a whole lot lighter. And negative training is impossible without a spotter; especially for presses and skullcrushers (trust me). A good spotter will aid your workout to a serious extent. But a good spotter is hard to find; I'd rather not attempt a weight than have a poor spotter wreck it for me; I've walked out of the gym in frustration after a poor spot without finishing my nights excercises... It's that fuckin annoying. I only train one bodypart a day, once a week. If someone fucks your bench press, its a week until I can do it again. Thats maddening. To sum up; if you cant spot, dont spot. You'll be thanked more.4 komentarzy 732 dni

hey guys . ive been training on and off for quite a while now . all the times ive stop training is to try and put on weight . ive took weight gain shakes ETC... ive even gone down the local pharmacey and bought minadex lol . i jst dont seem to be puttin on as much weight as my mates it takes me arround 3 months to put on a stone in weight my mates are a stone and half heavier by this time ... my gym owner sed to jab for abit but i cant touch roids coz of my kidney is kinda screwed .... so any advice would be apreciated ... thanks
