- Hello, we're Century kids.
Century kids are a five piece Sheffield band with a unique sound, from their massive lead guitar sound to their catchy, solid Basslines and unique drumbeats. Having two lead singers gives them an edge which will take the scene by storm, coupled with a loyal fanbase, century kids are a band that’s making some noise in Sheffied.
Their dual vocals worked a treat and their timing with each other was immaculate

good solid drumwork,heavy basslines and driving lead guitar. but what really makes this band stand out is their vocal duet, having two singers that compliment each other so well is quite a rarity but these guys make it look easy.

So where will they be in five years? Well I imagine they will have a colossal fan base and swanning about with their pockets full of cash from their massive album sales and arena tours!

02 Academy Review
PLAYING Sheffield’s Carling Academy (or 02, whatever it’s called these
days) is a pretty big deal for five lads who only formed their band a
year-and-a-half ago.
The gig may have been in the smaller,
upstairs Academy 2, but Century Kids still whipped the busy crowd into
a frenzy with their special variety of punky pop.
Songs from the
soon-to-be-released EP, Tank Tops and Ewoks, went down a storm with the
excitable audience- including the brilliant ‘No More’- and a couple of
other tracks, ‘Stay For Me’ and ‘Losing Time, Losing Sense’, showed
these five teenagers have many more strings to their collective bow.
Tom and Jake’s vocals blend seamlessly with the frantic drumbeats and
quirky riffs; giving Century Kids an edge that always makes you want to
hear that little bit more.
From headline gigs at The Boardwalk to
playing in fancy dress at The Plug; Jake, Tom, Calum, Niall and Jack
have steadily increased their stage presence with each show they’ve
played and this, coupled with a fresh sound, shows them for what they
are- genuinely passionate about making music.
At this rate, it
won’t be long before they are back at the Academy, and surely this time
it will be headlining in the main room.
