HARASSED A REPORTER
During another sleepless night alongside Randy, Earl watches TV news reporter Nicole Moses, who’s been relegated to the "Up Before Dawn" show. Years before, Randy and Earl clowned around behind Nicole as she covered a meth lab explosion. The brothers gained notoriety with this “crazy arms" dance and embarked on a quest to harass Nicole during all her live reports. Nicole finally had a meltdown on camera, beating Randy and Earl with her microphone and sending her career down the tubes. Nicole is now #28 on Earl’s list, so he and Randy visit her at the TV station. Nicole thinks she can redeem her career with a heartwarming story pulled from Earl’s list, and he promises to help. Now that he cares what people think, Earl is nervous to appear on camera, but Randy’s excited to be on TV even though Nicole isn't interested in him. Earl closes his eyes and picks a story from his list: losing an important client for a business woman. When the woman turns out to be Patty, Nicole exclaims that she can’t do a heartwarming story about a hooker. Earl comes up with a better story: he’ll make up for the time he obliterated Earl Jr. and Darnell Jr.’s beloved playhouse with his El Camino. Nicole loves the idea of building the kids a new playhouse, but informs Randy that he won’t appear on camera, because it’s not his story. Dejected, Randy seeks solace from Joy, who advises him to break away from Earl and be his own man. Excited, Randy resolves to make a list of all the good things he’s done, and mess with those people while wearing a sombrero. Later, Earl and Catalina are shocked to see Randy doing a “crazy head” routine on Nicole’s weather report. Randy arrives at the motel wearing a sombrero to get his own news story, and when he does, he’s going to make sure Earl’s a part of it, because that’s something Earl wouldn’t do. Earl apologizes, promising Randy that they’ll build the new playhouse together. Nicole’s not happy with Randy’s participation, but Earl makes sure that Randy gets plenty of camera time. Later, everyone’s at the Crab Shack to see Nicole’s piece on the evening news. Nicole announces that Earl’s heartwarming story is all about how he takes care of his mentally disabled brother, Randy. Embarrassed, Randy takes off. Randy runs to the TV station to confront Nicole. She explains that she had to make the story more interesting, and all she did was make him look stupid on TV, just like he did to her – it’s karma. Earl offers to ask Nicole to re-edit the piece, but Randy is satisfied - karma finally noticed him. Using their crazy arms, the brothers cross #28 off the list together.

TWO BALLS, TWO STRIKES
Only one person in town is capable of making people afraid from beyond the grave, and that’s Richard Chubby. The town’s most powerful businessman was eccentric and unpredictable in life, not to mention mean. At his strip club, Chubby threatens Randy with a pistol. Luckily, it’s filled with vodka, providing a good laugh and fatal grounds for confusion. Thinking he’s freshening his drink, Chubby picks up the wrong gun and blows his own head off. There’s a huge crowd at Chubby’s funeral, because attendance for employees is mandatory, and the service is scheduled during their unpaid lunch break. Earl wonders why no one is leaving, and Catalina informs that the new boss is even worse. A white limo pulls up, and the new boss gets out. Little Chubby, Chubby’s son, is back in town to take over the family business. Before Little Chubby left town, his favorite hobby was messing with people, usually resulting in injury and/or humiliation. One day, Little Chubby cuts off Randy’s rat tail, stuffs it in Joy’s drink and forces her to swallow, or risk the loss of her hair-do. Joy wants Earl to kill him real slow, so he has to get creative. Earl Hickey
Earl Hickey is the last person you'd trust with your wallet. A serial liar, cheat and lowlife, Earl's life is turned upside-down when he wins the lotto, only to lose the ticket when he's run down by a car.

Former pro-Skateboarder, Jason Lee got his break in 1995 appearing in Mallrats. He then won an Independent Spirit Award for his role as Banky in Chasing Amy, and has since appeared in The Incredibles, Almost Famous, Dogma, Vanilla Sky, Enemy of the State and Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back.



Randy Hickey
Randy is Earl's brother and lives on his couch. He thinks Earl's mad not to take the easy route but he's always got a beer to hand and with the right amount in him, he's happy to help out on Earl's journey.

Ethan Suplee made his film debut opposite Jason Lee in Mallrats before hitting the big time in Disney's American Football caper, Remember The Titans. He has gone on to star in a number of comedy films including Chasing Amy, Road Trip, Without A Paddle and Evolution, as well as garnering critical acclaim in American History X, Blow and Cold Mountain.



Joy
Having tricked Earl into divorcing her whilst he was drugged in hospital, nail technician and trailer-trash queen Joy has one aim in life, to get her hands on Earl's winnings.

Dancer, model and now actress Jamie Pressly has appeared in some of TV's biggest shows like The Twilight Zone, Punk'd, Becker and Charmed as well as Hollywood blockbusters Torque, Not Another Teen Movie and the forthcoming D.O.A: Dead Or Alive.



Darnell
Darnell keeps Earl and Randy in free seafood and is the new love of Joy's life. In fact she had Darnell's child whilst she was married to Earl.

Voted the Sexiest Man of 2004 by People Magazine, Eddie Steeples is a young actor making waves in the industry. He shot to fame on The Chris Rock Show and appeared in the Emmy Award-nominated Office Max commercials before landing a role in the motorbike thriller, Torque.



Catalina
Motel cleaner and Randy's de-facto girlfriend (because he called 'dibs' on her first), Catalina spends her free time hanging around with the brothers and helping Earl in his quest.

Nadine made her name playing Anna in the cult TV drama The Bold And The Beautiful, before appearing in a number of movies including House Of The Dead 2: Dead Aim and Biker Boyz. Daily Variety voted her one of 'Ten Actors To Watch for 2005' and USA Today named Nadine one of "Five Rising Stars to Watch Closely".

VERY BAD THINGS
Earl was enjoying watching Joy and Darnell have one of their arguments when all of sudden, he was reminded of No. 183 on this list, “Never took Joy’s side.” He remembered back when they were married that he’d never taken Joy’s side in any argument or fight she got into. Joy bought an entertainment center, but had to return it when it didn’t fit inside the trailer. The Bargain Bag refused to take it back, so she decided to get even. She stole The Bargain Bag storage truck and decided to sell it for the amount of money she’d lost. When the plan went awry, she blamed Earl for screwing things up. So, now she wanted Earl to help her sell the stolen truck. Earl and Joy had decided to check out the contents inside The Bargain Bag truck and discovered there was a delivery driver locked inside! Earl came up with the idea of releasing the truck driver blindfolded, but that quickly turned sour when the man ran into a tree and knocked himself out. Earl wanted to do the right thing and drop the guy off at the hospital. When the delivery truck ran out of gas, Earl walked to the gas station to get more. When he returned, Randy was waiting. They found Joy chasing the delivery driver, who was now awake. While Earl and Joy gassed up the truck, Randy put the driver back in the cab. But the driver stole the truck and drove away. Randy, Joy, and Earl jumped into Joy’s car and took off in hot pursuit. Earl thought he was doing Joy a favor by stopping the car so she’d have to stop chasing the delivery truck. He was afraid that the cops would catch them if she hunted the deliveryman down. Earl’s plan didn’t really work. The deliveryman identified Joy anyway and she was sent to prison and charged with grand theft auto, kidnapping and assault.

JUMP FOR JOY
Joy was facing a tough sentence for stealing the Bargain Bag delivery truck. It turns out that this was her third strike with the law, so her bail was set at one million dollars. Earl felt helpless because he didn’t have that kind of cash. But, he thought of the richest man in Camden County, Richard Chubby. Earl and Randy approached Chubby wanting money for Joy’s bail. He said he would loan them the money under one condition: they help get the best dancer at his strip club back on the job. That dancer was Catalina. Randy and Earl tried to come up with a way to get Catalina to return to dancing. Catalina had left her dancing career behind because an old man died of a heart attack while watching her perform. All she wanted was closure and to pay the man’s son a visit at the small business he owned. Turns out the people who worked for the old man, Mr. Tucker, called him El Diablo. They all thought Catalina was a saint for killing him. Randy helped get Catalina ready for her big comeback at Chubby’s strip club by stretching her legs and making sure she was flexible. Meanwhile, Earl confirmed that Chubby wouldn’t tell Catalina she was stripping to bail Joy out of jail. It was too late, though, because Catalina found out through Darnell that she was inadvertently helping to get Joy out of jail. Earl tried to persuade Joy to be kind to Catalina in order to get her to dance again. The two began the conversation in prison on friendly terms, but it quickly turned ugly. After a few choice insults, Catalina stormed out of the jail. Joy decided she could strip for her own bail money. Chubby agreed to let Joy dance for him, thinking she would bring money into the club. The only problem was that Joy drank too much tequila beforehand and threw up on the front row of the audience. Chubby fired her on the spot. Earl passed out at the bar and when he awoke, Catalina was being cheered on stage for her dancing. He later asked Catalina why she decided to dance for Joy. Catalina said she did it for Earl because he cared so much about helping a friend and that made her want to help, as well. Joy made bail and Earl realized what a good friend Catalina was to him.
