'Que tal'?

Its hot here in Lanzarote. Yep still here - been 5 months now.
Going slighty stir-crazy s there is damn all to do between trips to the pub & between gigs.

Been getting some gigs but its still v quiet here & still up against 'Irish pub Politics'. Nothing new!

Don't recon I'll head back to Dublin anytime soon - not to live anyway. Recon that the guitar lessons will dry up in the credit crunch & I ain't ever 'working for the Man ' again.

Do a flying visit next month & do a few gigs with the DOGFIGHT boys in MEZZ - me old office.

Still finding heaps of old mates onFACEBOOK - so thats keeping me sane. Hopefully got a few coming to visit in the next week or two.

Getting excited cos gonna be an Uncle again next month... Inigo 's gettng a wee brother.
I feel for him already. Me & Dene 'The Godfather' have decided that we are gonna do everything we can to make sure that the wee bairns don't give a damn about sport & just wanna Rock!

Hola - Que tal.

Been here a month now. Not quite what it was cracked up the be.
Got guzumpt by that bar & they hired another bloke on me day off...didn't even last a week. Then they took most of me cash to cover flight etc.

Oh well. Doing my own thing, which is not necessarily how i like it.
Played a few gigs an met some good people. Season is v quiet due to then shitty £ v € and massive flight prices. Should pick up soon.

Got a cheap&cheerful flat across the road from the beach...sharing with a musician from Chili. We were band mates for a week. He plays every night, drinks til dawn then sleeps while i'm down the beach & i wake him up in time to go to work again! Top bloke.

Incidently I'm on the wagon - Well down to 2bottles obeer a day - no pints or spirits.
Thats ZERO where i come from. Nearly a week now. Hard trying to fall asleep sober.... & bikkies are very expensive here Phil.

Mostly I'm workin on my tan & finding old school mates from Bridgend on ' Facebook' . Ain't 'chatted' with any of them since '86. Wierd. I have the most hair
& fewest responsibilities... but i think we knew that would happen.

U can still text my Irish phone if you need to send some abuse or discuss the weather... which is bloody hot if you were wondering.

Doing a recording of my live acoustic stuff at the mo...with the Hot Rod of Aprilla Andrea twiddlin the knobs. Hopefully will have some guest solos on board. Watch out for mr Rodo on Slide, Anton Peteltchits on sax and Jon Sivna if i can get him to stand still long enough to deliver some blistering keyboards & sneak in a guitar solo on three.

Starting a new rock band with Mark Sisk...he´s the big hard as nails guitar meister from Roadhouse. We´re in Gaiety on Friday 25th from 1am with Eric the Ri-Ra Rasta on the Bass.
