Thursday 17th - The day b4 my birthday and had a really early start(7am) coz i had 2 catch a bus to Cairns from Airlie beach which was 10hours long.wat a killer, but got 2 watch a couple of really shit movies on the way.wahoo! but all wud b worthwhile once i got 2 Cairns. Finally got there at 6pm and checked in2 my hostel and met up with a few aussie lads tht were in my room 4 drinks in the bar. had an awsum nit and loads of wicked places 2 go out 2.
Friday 18th - My B-day ye! ! ! no longer a teenager, jst mainly chilled during the day walked round the whole of Cairns, did sum shoppin(i brought a new hoody and a pair of DC's), looked at the casino/zoo, walked by the lagoon, visited the art gallery and loads of other stuff while i was waitin for a friend tht i had met in Frazer Island. She arrived later tht afternoon from Brisbane and we had a few beers caught up on gossip and stuff then went out for food and drinks had really great nit.
Saturday 19th - Because we'd planned on goin to visit the Daintree Rainforset we went 2 book tht 2day and turned out 2 b a lot easier than i thought it wud b.after all was finished and complete we got ready & decided 2 go watch a movie called Zodiac(recommended-true story). then headed bak as i had another early mornin coz of the trip 2 Daintree.
Sunday 20th - We got picked up from Cairns and had a really beatiful scenic coastal drive 2 Port Douglas were we pasted a nuse beach, sum beauitful islands and 1 one Elton Johns house.lol out first stop of the tour was a Croc tour on the river, but only got 2 see medium sized crocs. no huge ones like the tour after us tht got 2 c 2 grown males fightin.gutted! then after the cruise on the river we went on a botnaical walk through the forest, really nice and ate sum green ants.(they taste tangy lemony and help ur immune system, Abbo's make tea with them.lol) We then got dropped of at our hostel for the nit which was rit by the beach of Cape Tribulation.This is the only place in the world where 2 world heritage parks over lap(the Daintree Rainforest & The Great Barrier Reef). there are Mangrove Trees actually goin out of the beach!
Monday 21st We'd actually intended to only stay for 2days/1nit but decided 2 stay an extra as it was so nice and then we cud also go snorkelling 2day, which i still hadn't done out on the reef. it was amazin went out on a boat called Rum Runner and had a wicked time. The reef is out of this world, it looks like a strange colourful planet but under water, i also swam with lots of different fish but didnt c Nemo. i saw other clown fish jst not him but was relly excited when i saw a shark tht was cool and also huge turtles, well worth it!
Tuesday 22nd - Last day in the rainforest but on the return journey got 2 c sum intrestin stuff. We got picked up and went 2 a look out point called Alexandra Range, you could see everything from here and also got 2 c where Steve Irwin got killed by a StingRay! After the river crossing we went 2 a beatiful spot where we could swim called the Mossman Gorge, it was so refreshing from bein on the bus uin the heat.lol After this and a short stop in Port Douglas we were bak in Cairns for one more nit b4 i had 2 go bak to work. but mit as well make the most of it. So we went out got sum pizza and got preety smashed b4 my wonderful 10hour bus journey bak to Airlie Beach 2moro.

Well wat can i say, been a bit slack and lazy with this thing considerin i've been in Airlie for about 2months now.lol and havn't written anythin.fuck it. basically over the past 2months been workin,savin, seein wats around, bein a temperary local and met sum really classic characters(thts code 4 crazy) but sum brill/gorjus one's 2.lol whitsunday islands r beatiful, jst down the road theres a 25m waterfall which u can jump off(got videos) and a lagoon also which is really nice as u cant go in the sea at the moment coz of the stingers(box jellyfish). Also tryed my first taste of Thai whiskey it tastes absolutly gorjus considerin i dont really like whiskey BUT OMG its EVIL. i thought stella was bad! Anyway apart from this, been goin out a bit here coz i get half price drinks coz i hav a locals card and also been playin a bit of poker 2. won the other week out of 60 people and got a medal/trophy thing plus free drinks.BONUS!.lol
Well its my b-day soon, no longer a teenager, so im takin a week off work 2 go 2 cairns and the rainforest with a friend i met in Frazer Island.

so were off to airlie beach with the whole of the UK in the car Aaron(irish), Gemma(english), Andy(scotish), and me duh! and o were we wrong about fruit pickin and bundaberg, wat a disaster! started work, which was back breakin slave labour for 9hrs a day in blisstering temperatures and was earning about $80 a day which like workin 4 3.50 a hour. didnt bother with tht 4 much longer so we left after a week. but we did c sum turtles hatchin rit out of the sand and take there 1st steps to the beach, quite cool and we also went to the bundaberg rum factory which was ok jst a tour round a factory with free drinks, bonus! anyway off to airlie beach 2 find proper work, thts doesnt involve gettin whipped like slaves.lol
