Although the Olympic spirit is gone now, how did you guys enjoy the Olympics? Were any of you actually went to see any games?

I was in Beijing prior to the Olympics and Beijing have changed. It is very clean and the people are very friendly too. Now China doesn't give me the dirty and old impression in my head anymore, instead, now when I think of my home country I think about the modern splendid buildings and the traditional little houses.

The opening ceremony was really eye-opening because the performance was done by thousands of people and I really enjoyed how they put thousands years of history into a few hours slot. There are many negative comments about the opening ceremony and one involves the little girl who sang a song in the ceremony. Why is BBC so interested in criticizing China? It's funny when you think about it.

Yes, the Chinese athletes never let us down. With 51 gold medals and placed China as the "winner" of the Summer Olympics for the first time in history. I have enjoyed watching Weight-Lifting and diving. My favourite athletes are: Zou Kai and Guo Jing Jing. They were just awesome~! I was a bit sad when I heard that Liu Xiang was injured and couldn't compete in the games. But I still support him.

Yes~! The Olympics went very smoothly and now that "Boycott Beijing Olympics" crap is gone, I am glad.

PS: I recommend visiting the "bird-nest" before you die. You won't regret it

I don't understand this whole "Free Tibet" crap. Someone explain to me. Especially those who support Daila Lama, tell me, how is China not granting human rights to Tibetans? And why Free Tibet?

For Chinese People:
If someone says Free Tibet to you, how should you reply?

Many of my friends have told me this and I have experienced this a few times as well. Westerners come along and talk some random shit about Free Tibet. Normally I give them the fist, but does anybody have a more pacifist style of response?

for 1, reply "Indians are opressed" or, offer proof of Tibetans' lives under the Dalai Lama and ask them what Tibet needs freeing from.

BOYCOT THE 2012 LONDON OLYMPICS!

Since the stupid British Prime Minister decided that his own safety was more important than his country, I suggest all Chinese hold massive demonstrations for the Britain occupation of Ireland and that Hu should skip the opening ceremony as well.
When 2012 comes, let's all make banners saying "Free Northern Ireland! Free Gibralter! Free Faulkland Islands!"
