How can I upgrade my player's stats?

This is quite easy. Every player that is entered into BTG will be able to gain credits to improve their player's stats. This will make that player better and a possible transfer target to either Domingo Saints or Lynhurst Wanderers, the two main teams in BTG if not already in the team. You will earn credits by posting in the forums.

Every registered user to BTG is able to read and more importantly, post on various topics.

How this will work is as follows;

For every 10 posts on the forums, you will gain 1 credit.

On the last Friday of every month, you will recieve an email from BTG stating the amount of credits you have earned. You may spend these credits on your player's stats. You do not have to spend all your credits at once, any remaining will be carried over to the next month.

e.g. finishing - 2 points.
stamina - 1 point.
pace - 3 points.

All player stat upgrades must be received by us no later than 9pm the following Sunday.

We have noticed that some users with players haven't been using the forums, if you want to improve your player then you must start using the forums. The people are friendly and there are loads of things on there that you can get involved in such as the 'Daily Gaff', our own virtual newspaper. There are downloads, games and useful information.

So don't wait, get posting in the BTG forums and upgrade your player stats.

When Can i start upgrading?

All user's who have a player will be emailed on 29th June with their credit amount, as soon as you recieve this you can start upgrading your player's stats.



What you can do with your player

Free Transfer Players

All players who are a free transfer will be able to follow their progress on the Beingthegaffer main site via the 'Other Player' section. Here you will be able to see the player's important information. Any transfer news concerning your player will be sent to you via email. Your player will be eligible to be signed by both a computer managed team and by either Domingo Saints or Lyndhurst Wanderers.

Transfer Request

With quite a big squad in both teams, you may find that your player isn't playing as much because of form, position congestion, tactics etc. If you feel that you are not being given a fair chance you may 'speak to the gaffer'. To do this all you have to do is email your concerns to the manager via his email address, found on the contact us page on the team website. The manager will then 'listen' to you and then give his response. If you are not happy they you may submit a 'Transfer Request'.

As in real-life football, the request can be turned down but the manager will look at the request with the utmost respect. The manager will then notify you the board's decision and if successful the player will be placed on the transfer list. You can also retract a transfer request and this must be carried out through email to the manager.

Upgrade Player Stats

This is something that we are looking into at the moment. One way of doing this is through the amount of posts that a user submits into the forums. The posts, the more points a user will be rewarded with. You will then be able to upgrade your stats at a certain interval in the season. More information on this feature when we have more details.

Player Transfers

When another team is interested in your player, the manager may decide to sell if the offer is right for the club. If this is the case, the manager will inform you of the details and you will be asked your o

All you have to do is register from the front page on the main site. You will then have to be approved by ourselves. Once you are approved you can login and enter the details of your player. You can use your real details or create a totally fictitous player.
