yay so excited!! and hopefully this time i'll be all ok with no dodgy eyes and will be able to help out with all the final mountie christmas things and catch up with all you lovely peeps. I'm back on monday 18th until christmas eve so make sure u let me know when ur free and that we meet up.

The day started out well, we all met up and headed up to cribbs causeway, we took a few wrong turns but managed to get there ok. Went bowling and emz scored 120!! Which shocked the guys that worked there and checked to see if she had been playing with the barriers up – which she hadn’t!!

We decided to drive over from the bowling place to the main cribs car park to get food in the food court but it was packed and we ended up driving back to the bowling place to go to TGI’s. By this time food was running late and Emz was running a bit late to get to Cardiff for when she said.

Once we were all stuffed we headed back from cribbs to sea mills (where I live) at the 1st roundabout we took the wrong turn but managed to find ourselves on the right route again but then suddenly we were driving into an industrial estate which we managed to get completely lost in and ended up heading towards the severn bridge!!! So turned around and signs confirmed we were heading in the right direction of Avonmouth!! Oh yeh also at this point the red petrol light had been on for a while and Em was in desperate need of the ladies room!! Got to the point where we had turned around at earlier and kept going and got to Avonmouth village only once again we had no clue where to go!! At this point we as girls did the sensible thing and asked a lovely man who was crossing the road the way to shire (where I work which is on the way to where I live) he gave us the directions and we began recognising everything and were now only 5 mins away. We pass a petrol station but we are so close to shire and emz is so desperate we leave it till we get there.

As we come to the main roundabout we see the turning into shire. We go round the round about, but then time starts to slow down as Em turns off, but realises that she’s turning off a stop too soon! So as we all stopped looking at the turning we should be heading in and look at where we’re going, we see we’re heading onto a duel carriage way!! At this point we realise just how touch and go the petrol situation is as there was no where to stop and the sign said the nearest services were 15 mile away. Up the dual carriage way to go and we spot a turning off, as we get closer to the sign we recognise that it’s a turning to cribs causeway!!!

Just to put a time perspective in here we had just spent about 45 minutes driving around trying to get back but then just as we were nearly back home it took about 5-10 min to get back to cribbs where we had started. Never laughed and cried with laughter so much!!

Manage to get petrol and ems visits the ladies room and as she fills up the car I spot the MP3 player on the floor that she’d lost and so had been without music for her journey. So we’d refilled and we’re ready for our second attempt at getting home (although ems was now over a hour late for where she was going – love ya ems you kept very calm even if u weren’t feeling it).

To make sure we didn’t make the same mistakes and rely on our recognition of the route ( as lets face it we’d taken nearly every wrong turn there was – so it would be difficult to tell the right route from the wrong one!! ) we literally followed the bus that went the way we wanted to go – this consisted of pulling over and into bus stops behind the bus at every stop along the way!! Got to a point where the bus was turning off and we decided to put our trust in our instincts as the bus goes a long way round!! Carried on going umming and aahing over whether we recognised the places around us but carried on and thankfully we arrived in sea mills where I live.
