Akira Toriyama

'Widely know all over the world for his playful, innovative storytelling and humorous, distinctive art style, Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama is also know in his native Japan for the wildly popular Dr.Slump, his previous manga about a mad scientist and his android "daughter". Dragon Ball (also know as Dragon Ball Z in the american version) ran from 1984-1995 in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. He is also known for his work on the Dragon Quest RPG games, the upcoming Blue Dragon game for the XBox360, Chrono Tiger and Tobal No.1. His recent manga works include Cowa!, Kajika, Sand Land, Neko Majin, and a children's book Toccio the Angel. He lives with his family in Japan, and has been the insperation for many manga artist, including Tite Kubo and Masashi, and his twin, Seishi, Kishimoto. In Tite Kubo's case, Toriyama is the reason he has a job with Shonen Jump. Tite and Masashi both drew tributes to him, including their favorite characters Akira has made (you can find these oictures in my albums). Akira troiyama's style has become iconic, and even those who dont'know what manga is, have at least seen or heard of either Dragonball, or Dragonball Z. He is the reason I started to like manga, and he, Kubo, and the Kishimoto Twins, have been my inspiration for drawing my manga; TITAN. So, well, thanks!'
