This weekend has been one of thee best ever. Of course, I've had MANY awesome weekends with festivals, roadtrips and epic weekends oot with the besto mateys. But this weekend has been pretty much flawless start to finish. Here is a summary of why:

Friday morning, I'm informed that my eldest sister gave birth to a healthy baby boy, her second

If you know my family, you'll know this: Audrey had a wee boy, then Louise had a wee girl, then Louise had a wee boy. So, because Evey had a wee brother in Johnny, our Joshua was hoping for a wee brother too. So it made me SO happy that he got his wish. So I now have 3 nephews and 1 neice to teach in the ways of all things music, hehe. Awesome!

So with that news, I went to college in a belter of a mood. College was also a cracking day. Full one hour massage to start the day, complete with chill-out instrumental music. Sheer bliss. Then I got to meet Mandy for lunch, always good. Then I had Physiology and Anatomy in the afternoon. Did I pass my assessment? HELL YES I DID! Good day at college too

Got home from college to find a VERY important and very awesome email regarding the future of the band. More on this later, but 2010 is gonna be epic. Sorry to tease, but my lips are sealed for now. Moving on!

On Friday night, Mandy and I had our first official date Those closest to me will know we'd been seeing a fair bit of each other in recent months, so decided to have an official date. The convo of "how many dates to we go on before we're actually goin' oot" came up, where we decided that since the whole DATING thing is done to get to know each other, and we already know each other very well following years of close friendship, we'd just have that ONE date and just go for it. So aye, after THREE YEARS of living (and enjoying) the single life, Big Stevie Bell here now has a lovely ladyfriend 1-0 to me, yas!

Saturday, the day started off with a long lie. ALWAYS good. Then got the train to town, had a beast of a Greggs, and hopped on board the band van to go play our first gig in four months. The gig went well, got to play a handful of new songs (including one which *I* wrote ) as well as some older classics. Great wee gig catching up with some mateys, so bring on the Catty gig a week on Wednesday!

After the gig, got home to watch UFC. Guys in a cage smashing each other, always good viewing!

Today has been awesome too. New episode of The Office is a belter, my sister and the new baby get home this afternoon... and I only need to attend college two days this week since all my assessments are up to date (and PASSED!)

Finally, rumour has it that KISS are playing Glasgow SECC in May 2010. If that ends up being true, it's already gig of the year!

Good times man. Awesome family news, awesome band progress, awesome gigs played and announced, plus I got myself an awesome girl
