It's official, Belfast is now all in Christmas mode. With a 30,000 strong audience our Lord Mayor, Same Difference, Gerard McCarthy, CityBeats Stuart Robinson and Work experience boy, The winners of YoungStars, Olympic Medal winners, Scooby doo...yes The Big dog off TV and non other than Santa himself lit up the streets of Belfast. With some great music and entertainment to keep the crowds happy we can say without the fear of reprisals...IT'S CHRISTMAS!!
We at The Beat office drooled over our interview with one of Belfast's hottest new actors - none other than Glen Wallace a.k.a. Malachi from Hollyoaks.
With such a huge storyline for him at the moment we thought that it would be great to give you guys the facts about HIV and also info on Hollyoaks newest cast member!

Planetlove celebrates ten years with first ever two-day festival
With only one week to PLANETLOVE's 10th anniversary festival the countdown is on to Ireland's largest electronic music spectacular!
To mark their 10th birthday this year's festival will be held over two days - Friday 5th and Saturday 6th September - at Shane's Castle, County Antrim.
And PLANETLOVE WKD certainly plan to celebrate in style - Tiesto in Concert on Day one, and on Day two they usher in a mesmerising mix of the finest electronic music artists the world has to offer - all supported by BBC Radio 1 who will be broadcasting from the festival!
Dance culture phenomenon TIESTO kicks off proceedings on Friday 5th September with his 'In Search of Sunrise Tour'.
The first DJ in the world to sell out a solo stadium event for over 25,000 people, TIESTO also scored a Number One hit with his single 'Traffic', the first instrumental track to reach the top spot in his homeland of Holland in 23 years.
Perhaps his best known achievement is the floor-filling remix of Delerium featuring Sarah McLachlan 'Silence' which became an international dance floor anthem and also spent eight weeks in the UK Top 10.
Not content with tearing up international dance floors and festivals, TIESTO also played live in front of billions of people during the Parade Of The Athletes at the official opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Athens...
Day two of PLANETLOVE WKD - Saturday 6th September - will see over 90 DJs and live acts fly in from all over the world to perform on nine arenas.
Aussie electro/D&B stars of the moment Pendulum will perform fully live on the outdoor stage, while dance music heavyweights such as Ferry Corsten, Dave! Clarke, Sebastien Leger, Eddie Halliwell, Shaun Ryder and Primal Scream's Mani make up an impressive and eclectic range of superstar DJ performances.
PLANETLOVE's 10th birthday celebrations also sees hard style pioneers Q Dance (Netherlands) host their very first arena on Irish soil, while techno lovers can look forward to the return of Mauro Picotto and Dave Clarke heading up the Meganite Arena.
Add to all of this, the Love Arena, Love Live Outdoor Stage, Polysexual, Rendezvous, and Love at Home Arenas, M8 Magazine's VIP Lounge and a 10 Years of Love Arena that will be playing the tunes that have helped shape electronic music over the past decade.
And for the first time this year PLANETLOVE will host a campsite within the grounds of Shane's Castle!
"This is the most exciting festival that we have worked on over the last ten years, it's the first ever weekend event that we've run, with a star-studded line up, camping and with birthday and production surprises" explains promoter Eddie Wray.
Judith Robinson, Brand Manager for WKD, sponsors of the annual event, says:
"PLANETLOVE has always pushed the boundaries and raised the bar for music events in Northern Ireland. We're really proud to be associated with it as the marriage of PLANETLOVE and WKD is ideal."
But perhaps the vibe and excitement surrounding PLANETLOVE's impending 10th Anniversary celebrations is best conveyed through the comments of co-promoter Judith Farrell-Rowan, "It's hard to believe it's ten years since we started PLANETLOVE. What a ride that has been. We've been planning this year's celebrations for a few years now so it's very exciting to finally be here presenting it. Two days, Tiesto in Concert - which is a phenomenon in itself - and our best ever festival line-up - we've worked really hard on this one and Radio One's presence again is the icing on the cake. Let's hope PLANETLOVE's exceptional weather record continues too!"
