Seriously anyone else noticed that? I don't begrudge anyone the right to support whoever they want, but equally I would hate if Celtic and Hibs became 'the ethnic teams' because that would cause major problems! What really annoys me though is the way fans of those teams always make out Rangers and Hearts Protestant/ Loyalist/ Unionist fans to be racist or Nazis!! Here's some FACTS for them!! :

The Worlds first ever black player was Andrew Watson, who played for the original Protestant/Loyalist/Unionist team Queens Park! He was also capped for Scotland!

The World's first ever professional black player was John Walker, who signed for Hearts at the end of the 19th Century!

Rangers followed suit by signing Walter Tull just before the outbreak of the First World War, but tragically he never had a chance to play as he died with honour, as Britains first ever black officer! Hearts entire first team enlisted, and formed the remarkable 16th Royal Scots, also known as 'MacRaes Battalion'. They fought alongside heroic characters from the Ulster 36th Division, and volunteers from all over the Commonwealth, from India to Jamaica! Meanwhile Hibs fan James Connolly was aiding the Axis powers by orchestrating his badly-planned Easter Rising fiasco, an event still commemorated by Hibs and Celtic Irish Republicans/Nationalists!

In later years, Rangers and Hearts again signed black players, Mark Walters and Justin Fashanu respectively.. Both players were treated disgracefully by rival teams, worst of all by Celtic fans who dressed as monkeys and threw bananas and pigs feet! Despite the racist songs and death threats, both players had the courage to play on and became popular with their teams fans.

Recently Dublin was the venue for a World Cup match between the Republic of Ireland and Israel, and thousands of RoI fans, many dressed in celtic shirts, made nazi salutes and shouted anti-semitic profanities!

Celtic fans often slander Rangers and Hearts as being pro-BNP (the British National Party are a thinly-veiled neo-nazi political party in the UK) but again this couldn't be further from the truth! Many of the BNP are Roman Catholic, and a great many even have sympathy for Irish Nationalism! In Scotland many of the 'leading lights' of the BNP are Celtic fans, and very few members of the party throughout the UK have any sympathy for Loyalism! In fact their fore-runners the National Front (a neo-nazi skinhead movement) used to go to Parkhead (Celtics football ground) with banners saying 'Pakis out of Britain, Brits out of Ireland'!! Even in recent times Celtic fans were buying pictures of ex-Celtic star Paolo Di Canio making a Nazi salute!! The BNP's Combat 18 wing are terrorists who took 'credit' for bombs set off in London. The BNP have also had terrorist links with Timothy McVeigh, Robert Fiore (who killed 85 people in the Bologna massacre bombing). The BNP, National Front and other such groups are also openly pro-Nazi, which fairly obviously has NOTHING to do with being British, in fact it is clear that the BNP oppose almost all aspects of modern British society.

Loyalist organisations are also very anti-racist. As explained above the UVF were formed by the Ulster 36th, a group of young men who risked their lives in the Great War fighting Imperialist Germany alongside troops from across the World! The UDA (Ulster Defence Association) also have had many non-white members, for instance Louis Scott (who is mentioned in the book UDA: Inside the Heart of Loyalist terror) and recently the Shoukri brothers, who are of Egyptian descent, were the leaders of the UDA in Belfast! They were very popular, which is all the more remarkable considering the bitter disputes between various factions of the UDA in North and East Belfast! The IRA/INLA/Sinn Fein/Ancient order of Hibernians etc have never had a single non-'Eireann' (pronounced 'Aryan' ) member!
