  • FRIGHT NIGHT REMAKE UP-DATE

Want more big breaking news? You got it! DreamWorks in in final talks with Anton Yelchin to topline their remake of Tom Holland's cult 1985 vampire film Fright Night. Craig Gillespie is helming the new version, which sticks to the concept of a teen being convinced that his new neighbor is a vampire, although no one will believe him. The new iteration, written by Marti Noxon, keeps the character's name the same as in the original: Charley Brewster. William Ragsdale, now seen on FX's "Justified," originated the role. Yelchin was most recently seen in Terminator Salvation and Star Trek.

It is a scantily clad hellride that will leave you in stitches

PIRANHA 3DD – ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK

Features Songs by The Limousines, The Automatic Music Explosion, Cellphish, Moros Eros, Amber Pacific, and Bobot Adrenaline

(May 16, 2012 – Los Angeles, CA) – Lakeshore Records will release the Piranha 3DD – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally on May 29th and in stores on June 19, 2012. The soundtrack features three tracks from the indie electronic duo The Limousines, a pair from Bobot Adrenaline and songs by Twirl, Moros Eros, Josh Mobley featuring Reina Williams, and Twirl.

After the terror unleashed on Lake Victoria in Piranha 3D, the pre-historic school of bloodthirsty piranhas are back. This time, no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of summer’s best attraction, The Big Wet Water Park.

Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future) reprises his role as the eccentric piranha expert with survivor Paul Scheer (The League) and a partially devoured Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction) back for more fish frenzy. David Hasselhoff trades in the sandy beaches of “Baywatch” to be a celebrity lifeguard at the racy water park. Prepare for double the terror, double the action and double the fun in this sequel also starring Gary Busey (Lethal Weapon), Katrina Bowden (30 Rock), Danielle Panabaker (The Crazies), Matt Bush (Adventureland), Chris Zylka (The Amazing Spider-Man) and David Koechner (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy).

    LAKESHORE RECORDS TO RELEASE
MOTHER’S DAY – ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK

Features Original Music by Bobby Johnston

(April 23, 2012 – Los Angeles, CA) – Lakeshore Records will release Mother’s Day – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally on May 1, 2012. The film is loosely based on the 1980 Troma cult classic.

From director Darren Lynn Bousman and producer Brett Ratner, starring Rebecca De Mornay and Jaime King, comes Mother’s Day. After a bank robbery gone wrong, three brothers head for home….only to discover that their mother lost the house in a foreclosure. The new owners and their guests, gathered for an ill-timed birthday party, become the brothers’ unwitting hostages. Their mother and sister arrive, and it soon becomes obvious that Mother will do absolutely anything to protect her children. In one terrifying evening, Mother brilliantly takes control of the situtation and masterminds her sons’ escape. Sides will be taken, secrets revealed, and sins punished as the hostages struggle to make it through the night.

Composer and multi-instrumentalist Bobby Johnston’s music has been featured extensively on the radio program “This American Life”. Johnston’s approach features organic and acoustic instruments, which he plays himself. The Mother’s Day original soundtrack also features percussionist Greg Ellis, cellist John Krovoza and violinist David Markowitz.

Johnston was called ‘a new voice in film’ by Film Score Monthly, his soundtrack for King of the Ants earned him critical praise in film music circles. His credits also include Wristcutters: A Love Story, Edmond, No Impact Man and Spooner.

Anchor Bay presents Mother’s Day, in theaters in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago on May 4, and available on DVD and Blu-ray on May 8, 2012 . The Mother’s Day -- Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on Lakeshore Records will also be available digitally on May 1, 2012.
