- A Street Art Appreciation Project
- À propos de moi
- We are not the only ones who have noticed and appreciate the efforts of anonymous artists on our streets. This project, Creative Vandalism, is intended to promote awareness of, and boost appreciation for art of true creative value hiding all around us. Plus we encourage our website visitors to leave comments, queries and compliments about the art on view here.
There is a lot of stimulating art exhibited on the streets, but that is not to your liking, maybe some of the meaningful quotes, poetry & political messages will stir some interest within.
Maybe you can suggest what is generally accepted as art, and what is seen as vandalism?!?
Visitors to our website can enjoy following or taking part in numerous art projects that we are conducting… if not then everyone is sure to find interest in at least one of the varied topics of conversation in progress.
Feel free to add photos of street art that you've spotted, but please remember to record where and when the image was captured.

----------------------------------------------------
Rap Ireland are looking for Graffiti Artwork to be designed and implemented to add extra visual impact to our studio and office. We are ideally looking for a design incorporating the original Rap Ireland Logo (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3..., but we are asking for the artist to suggest their own concepts and take it all to the next level!
This design will be the backdrop to a number of photo opps with international and domestic artists within the Urban Music Industry. Between social networking sites, our website and our bi-monthly magazine we can offer alot of exposure. There will also be a feature article on the design in our magazine.
There is room for Rap Ireland to develop a professional relationship going forward with a graffiti artist, potentailly offering a number of future oppurtunities.
Interested applicants please send a brief design or idea description to alan@rapireland.com or alannewman84@gmail.com

WANTED: Graffiti Artist/s in London
Greetings all. A quick request...
If anyone knows any graffiti artists in London, would they please ask them to get in touch with us?
B-box (a weekly Bebo.com entertainment show - www.bebo.com/b-box) is shooting an episode on the theme of street-art soon, and would like to hear what's what, straight from street level.
B-box will be interviewing the chosen artist on camera, and featuring their work on the show, so it's a nice oppertunity for someone who's starting out, or someone passionate enough to represent the graffiti artscene.
Thanks for your time,
Peace,
Sam0 commentaires 281 jours

Why Graffiti?
par
Sam B
I would be interested to know, as would many others, why people choose to practice street-art rather than pursuing other means of expression.0 réponses 40 semaines
What motivates your art?
Why do you prefer to exhibit on the streets rather than more conventional/conformist locations?
How does putting your work on the street feel compared to creating a piece on canvas?

Graffiti... art or vandalism... your opinion?
- All forms of graffiti deserve artistic recognition.
- It's a pity that immature tagging overpowers the real art I've seen.
- What's the difference? I don't care either way.
- I have rarely ever seen graffiti I would call art.
- All forms of graffiti are obviously illegal unwanted vandalism.

Creative VandalismIl y a 78 semainesFair enough guys... although it does seem that the only people who enjoy or respect tagging are taggers themselves... is there an element of ownership of the location, an element of pride, the competition involved, or is it simply the fun of tagging that you all enjoy?
To explain... 'a disgusting amount of amateur tagging overwhelming the real art'...
The way I look at it is that peoples names or tags scrawled everywhere can make a public place look dirty and uninviting. People who can not distinguish between random tags and credible creative expression lump all graffiti together as 'vandalism' and end up missing the actual art out there, like Maser's, which can really compliment and decorate a public place.
This is why Creative Vandalism was started though.. to get varying opinions on what is vandalism and what is art... so thanks for the comments
