- The Event!!
- waaaaaaaaah! Now this is something to get excited about!! The Stirling Young Achievers celebration is being held in the Albert Halls on 31st October (halloween oooh) and is for all you wonderful young peeps and to let the suits know how fantastic you are and the magic things you do! It's an event to recognise the positive contribution young people make to the quality of life in Stirling. Do you work with or know young people aged from 12 to 25 who have achieved something special? If so, we're asking you to nominate either as individuals or part of a group, to take part in an event that promises a mix of celebration, food and diversity so it's gonna be amazing!

- Thats the nominations finished now. We got so many so as of Friday no more were taken, sorry to anyone who didn't get their nomination in on time!

- There are 7 nomination categories...
Body and Lifestyle -(health, sport, looking after yourself)
Involvement in the Community -(volunteering, making a difference, taking responsibility)
Arts and Entertainment - (music, performance, creativity)
Going Green - (recycling, clearing up, fair trade, global)
Enterprise - (came up with a brilliant idea, made it happen)
Culture - (diversity, history, tradition, international links)
Unsung - (anything not already included) - Add Us!!

Stirling Launches Amazing New Mobile Youth Space!!
The Thistle Shopping Centre, Stirling - Thursday 10th April, 18.30 hours! Something magical is happening…
Stirling Council Youth Services are unveiling their AMAZING new Mobile Youth Space (MYS)!
What’s yon I hear you say! Well my friend, it’s a purpose built vehicle offering a range of services to all you lovely young people and it’ll be used in communities where there is limited access to existing youth services.
It’ll stop off in towns and villages across the district where you spend time, places like skate parks, streets, shops, parks etc. It’ll also be going to youth and community events.
It’s gonna be out and about in the streets and neighbourhoods most evenings in the school term and afternoons during the holidays.
I know what your thinking, big van driving all the time, whats the point? WELL! We won’t be driving about all the time, we’ll be stopping wherever and letting you come in and have a swatch about! The MYS has Playstations, X-box’s, computers, internet access, DVD’s, magazines and loads more on board!
See, told you it was good!!
So, what I’m hoping is that you will be able to come down and see it for the first time EVER (there’s only about 5 council staff who have seen it so it’s very very exciting) on Thursday.
It’ll be outside the Thistle Centre (at Costa Coffee and that gid wee £ shop) all day and will be revealed at 6.30pm.
There will be some staff in the centre during the day too, we’re gonna have a few tables so you can sign up for an NEC or find out more about Youth Voice or Infotxt, or just come for a gibber, I’m nae fussy!!

Anyone good at gibbering??
I know I am but thats no the point.
I'm looking for young people from the Stirling area to write for the Stirling Young Scot website. It can be pretty much anything you want, as long as you think it's relevant and your no swearing like a trooper and slagging people off! ( no one bigger than me anyway)
We've had people write about loads of different things from celebrity to things happening in their local area and I want MORE!!!

We set up a flatshare bebo page last year, mainly to help young people find suitable accommodation. It seems to have gone down really well and new members are joining regularly.
With so many students looking for accommodation for going back to uni/college, I thought I would take this opportunity to highlight our page again.

Thanks for the comment Pascal, I've not bothered to put it on the page, really don't see what you hoped to achieve by sending such an abusive message.
Perhaps try to spend your time doing something a bit more productive rather than trying to abuse young people and organisations who are doing something productive in our town.
