MY PHILOSOPHY :-
Go out, one cloudless evening, look up at the stars and say: "I belong in this universe, I am worth alot". And you must believe it. Keep saying: "I can do it". Have nothing to do with people who put you down, depress you or say you cannot do it. Have faith in yourself. Go for what you want. You will get there if you really believe in yourself. Find people who will affirm and encourage your new self. Aim high. What is life about if it's not about taking a chance, once in a while? x0x0x0x0 For all the Academy students - Your the best ever!

Welcome back everyone. We hope all students will enjoy this exciting term especially the new recruits.

    LAMDA AWARDS
Congratulations to all who took part in L.A.M.D.A. exams this year. All the commitment and dedication of both
students and teachers most certainly paid off. The awards evening was a hugh success and an opportunity for
some of the students to demonstrate their exam pieces. Aisling O’Neill from Faircity presented the awards on
the night. A great evening was had by all in the lovely Trim Castle Hotel.

    SUMMER CAMP
Our Musical Theatre summer camps were a hugh success. Lots of fun was had especially when Henry McKeen decided to pop by to interview the kids. They all had a giggle when they heard themselves when on Newstalk 106 Radio Station. At this stage you never know who will pop by the academy to say hello.

    MID TERM BREAK
This is our longest term to date. We have a lot of hard work ahead for our show “Annie” in January. The term dates are listed below and there will be no classes held on Wednesday 29th, Thursday 30th or Saturday 1st November due to the mid-term break.

    Academy First Class Last Class
Virginia Ramor GFC 3rd Sept 17th Dec
Kells - GAA Centre 4th Sept 18th Dec
Navan - Korean Martial Arts 6th Sept 20th Dec
Ratoath - Ratoath Community Centre 6th Sept 20th Dec

    CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR TV STARS
It was a very busy summer for many of the academy members with TV appearances and photo shoots. Congrats and well done to all of you –
    · Maebh O’Reilly took part on Eye to Eye on July 4th.

    · Jack Furlong, Sean O’Looney and Evan O’Rourke went for the McDonalds Advert and Ciaran Roche, Sean O’Looney, Kevin McGrath, Donal Dunne, Gavin Fennessy and Evan O’Rourke went for the casting of an Easy Singles Advert. It was a great experience & opportunity for all involved.

    · Gemma Glynn, Aine Brennan & Cian Ryan took part on RTE’s programme The Buzz in July.

    · Rochelle O’Reilly from our Navan Academy was successful in a recent casting for Pat The Baker Advert. This advert can be seen on TV3 at present.

    · Aine Brennan, Ciaran Roche & Jessica Heary took part in Watch Your Language on 16th July. They were up against a team from Sligo. They had great support on the day as students from Navan and Kells went along to cheer them on. Well done guys!!!

    · Members from our Ratoath Academy, Oisin Flynn nd Rebecca Scott took part on The Buzz 24th July and Tara Baitson who took part on ICE.

    · Congrats to Chelsea O’Toole from Ratoath who is the new face for Heatons Fashions

    · The following students took part in the casting for the movie ‘Wakewood’ – Megan Nolan, Saoirse O’Looney, Aoife O’Reilly, Aisling Brennan and Emily Muldoon. We would like to say well done to Aisling who was back 5 times for auditions but was unsuccessfull

    · Well done to Ciaran Roche who took part in a small advert for the Den in July. We look forward to seeing him on TV.

    · We sent the following for a Kellogs Casting recently – Aaron Nevin, Cian Ryan, Kevin Cleary and Oisin Flynn.

    · Oisin Flynn became a bit of a celebrity over the summer when the camera crew from ICE visited his home. Many of his family members including Ailbhe also took part in the filming.

    · Chelsea O’Toole was styling her Dad on 5th September as part of the ICE programme on RTE

It is impossible to keep in touch with everyone over the summer months so if we forgot to mention your name and you were in RTE, please let us know and accept our apologies.

    CONTINUED SUCCESS
We would like to wish Grainne O’Reilly our dance teacher in Navan every success in furthering her dance career in Dundee College. Also crossing the seas is Eddie Walker who taught in Navan and Ratoath. Eddie is completing his GCSE’s through performing Arts in Manchester. We wish them both continued success, as I’m sure many will miss them!!!
Best of luck also to Rachel McNamee, Simone Murph

    Hi Sheila,

I'm a swing dance teacher, I specialise in West Coast Swing but I also like to dance Retro/Jump Swing (a style variation of East Coast Swing) to Rockabilly (rock n roll) music.

I'm considering starting Retro/Jump swing and West Coast Swing dance classes in Dublin (city centre).
