The Girls Next Door (also known as The Girls of the Playboy Mansion ), is a reality television series that premiered in August 2005 on E!

The series was created by executive producer Kevin Burns and Hugh Hefner, founder and editor-in-chief of Playboy magazine. The series focuses on the lives of Hugh Hefner's three girlfriends who live with him at the Playboy Mansion: Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt, and Kendra Wilkinson. Hefner and various other Playmates can be seen making cameo appearances.

  • KENDRA IS PREGNANT !!

    Kendra has released the following statement, saying,

    "Hank and I are thrilled to announce that we are expecting our first child together. We are touched by the outpouring of support by our family, friends and fans."

    Kendra also blogged about it saying:

    "hi everyone!!!! so the rumors are true…i am pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hank and i were beyond excited when we found out the news and ive been dying to tell all of you but we were waiting for the perfect time to do it. im sorry if you heard it first elsewhere…that's not how i wanted it to happen, but im so glad its out in the open now…

    i honestly still can’t believe that soon hank and i are going to have a little athlete running around the house. seriously, the first thing this kid is going to see when its born is a football hahahahaha…

    wow this has really been quite a year. from my career to my engagement, and now a baby too! im the luckiest girl in the world!!!!"

    Bridget Marquardt commented saying:

    "Here I am, planning her bachelorette party when maybe I should be planning her baby shower, I guess I will work on both…there is a lot to celebrate!"

    Hef also commented saying:

    "I’m really happy to learn that Kendra is pregnant because I know that she and Hank wanted to start a family right away. I think he’s a good guy and they’ll be good for one another."

    Everyone learned about the pregnancy at Kendra's bridal shower for her marriage to fiancé Hank Baskett much to the shock of friends, family, and even the camera crew of her new reality TV show.
    The news upset Kendra's mother and grandmother so much that they "took our mics off and left the bridal party."
    But Kendra followed them out and apologized, and the trio kissed and made up.

    Vegas Pool Party . . . and a shady character . . lol!
    I just threw a pool party for Hef and his new girls on Saturday for Season 6 of Girls Next Door . . . it was totally fun and everybody had a blast. Bridget and Kendra were there as well.
    There was a ton of press there. I love the local Vegas press that I have had a chance to work with in the past . . . like the people in Vegas in general they are totally fun and don't take themselves too seriously. Well, most of them, anyway.
    Amidst all the madness was an older but attractive female television reporter wearing a casual but totally cute green, brown and white dress. I complemented her on her outfit and told her it was the perfect choice for a pool party. It was windy and chilly, but, hey, I was trying to sport the next-to-nothing bikini and denim skirt, so I had to give her props for the perfect summer dress.
    I was warned that she was the only interviewer who wanted to ask me a question about one of my ex-boyfriends (no-not Hef) but it wasn't a concern of mine, because this ex is someone I am friends with and have nothing but good feelings and admiration for and i only have good things to say about him. I thought our interview went well. I anticipated the interview to be a light piece of no particular consequence . . . after all, the interviewer had what appeared to be a personal assistant carrying her pocket dog around . . . . sounds like a Girls Next Door fan, right?
    Next thing I know, I receive a call from a columnist who heard I slammed the aforementioned reporter's dress. I was completely surprised, because I remember the instance and told the columnist that I had sincerely meant to complement her dress.
    The columnist then tells me that the reporter I supposedly insulted used to date my ex-boyfriend, which made me laugh, because said ex-boyfriend has dated some of the most beautiful, famous women in the world (no, I am NOT including myself in that catagory . . . I am talking about other people . . . lol) so it would have NEVER occurred to me that the reporter was in said company (how I made it in, I am still trying to figure out, jk).
    So after I have nothing but nice things to say about the ex-boyfriend, she takes to Twitter, calling me a "bad interview" (totally subject to opinion, but I wouldn't think so . . . I answered every question she gave me without hesitation) with "strange pink hair extensions" (I guess the last one is fair. Older people might think pink hair extensions are weird.)

    She also proceeds to say I was not so sweet to her . . . . come on, why would anyone, who has been on a tv show and doing press for the last 4 years invite press to a party they are throwing to not be nice to them? We are all trying to work together, here. Frankly, I think it's a case of someone desperate for ratings trying to start a bunch of gossip to get her name in the papers.

    The Reporter then hit back on her own blog saying:

    "It’s not my style to engage in this kind of repartee. I do not believe in tearing down anyone in order to further my career. I treat everyone with complete respect & that was not shown to me from Holly, as is evident in her very unkind words.

    Obviously, Holly & I are very different people, who have chosen very different paths in life. She has made a "career" out of dissing other women to get to the top. My body of work speaks for itself.

    It is my job to report on entertainment & inform my viewers. I do so with my on-air segments, via my blog, & on Twitter. Holly Madison was honestly not a very good interview, I was stating a fact. It was not a personal attack.

    Perhaps it was just a very emotional day for her, or perhaps it was her inexperience, (her publicist later explained that she is not quite as media-savvy as most of his other clients). My comments were meant to inform & promote the upcoming Hugh Hefner story—mission definitely accomplished.

    - Hef has 3 girlfriends again! Hef's new ladies are Crystal Harris and twin sisters Karissa and Kristina Shannon. All are, predictably, blonde and busty!

    - With the financial woe that's hit Playboy as of late, Hefner has apparently been advised to cut all unnecessary financial ties.

    - In a bid to combat the falling magazine market, Playboy is "combining its Web site and magazine staff into one editorial organization."The change includes shuffling some editors around, closing the New York office, and moving the operation to Chicago.

    - Playboy magazine may soon be up for sale.

    - The house next door to the Playboy Mansion is now on the market!
    The seven-bedroom mansion has been inhabited by Hef's second wife, Kimberley Conrad and the former couple's two children since 1996, but with the Hefner teens heading off to college in a matter of months, Hugh doesn't see the point in Kim living in the McMansion all by her lonesome.
