I was against the use of humans as guinea pigs, and when Lucrecia suffered harmful effects from the experiment Vincent confronted Hojo. Following a heated argument Hojo shot and killed me, placing my body in a capsule to use for experiments based on Lucrecia's research of the Lifestream. Due to the experiments, I acquired Galian Beast, Hell Masker, and Death Gigas as a part of my body, which I had the power to transform into. Lucrecia also brought me in contact with the G-Substance, a contaminated form of Mako, that resulted in Vincent becoming Chaos, which was to pave the way for the Omega WEAPON.

Due to Chaos, I become overwhelmed with ferocity and escaped my capsule, although Lucrecia calmed ,e with a materia that could control Chaos and she placed me into a deep sleep. When I awoke Lucrecia and Hojo were gone, and I was infuriated by this transformation. When Cloud's party discovers me in the Shin-Ra Mansion's underground basement I had been sleeping for 23 years, a self-inflicted punishment due to my inability to stop the Jenova Project, which I refers to as my "sin." I decided to join AVALANCHE to aid in the destruction of Sephiroth.

I am an enigmatic and mysterious character. As a Turk, I was a compassionate and humane individual, however following the various experiments applied to my body I slowly changed, growing more vicious and hateful. When Cloud's party found me, I had been in a slumber for 23 years. I remain vengeful but more serene, and portrays my self as a type of loner/gunslinger.
