    • Brawn GP

      So yeay Brawn GP have been cleared but the news reports have been pissing me off.They say the FIA had to allow it or it would be bad for the sport.They don't want any bad publicity.Well the Stewards at BOTH Grand Prix cleared the cars and declared them legal.
      Has any of the media touched on the fact that Ross Brawn is a genius? that the team spent more than a year developing it?Honda wrote off last season to develop this car in preparation for the new rules.They are winning even tho they had to let go a huge number of their staff. Ferrari are the worst,Ross won them umpteen championships so they should know that he would come out with something better than anyone else.
      The big guns missed the mark here,they should have spent the last year doing development but they were too busy fighting each other in the courts.I hoped with Ron Dennis stepping down from MClaren we would get back to racing and away from the politics but obviously MClaren just cant deal with not being #1 and have to resort to cheating and lawyers.
      Brawn GP are the incarnation of all that is good of F1! Two drivers who are in it for the love of the race and are not going to mouth off of it doesn't go their way.A team principal who understands the sport and interprets the rules in a visionary way and pushes the limits within the constraints set out.
      A team has risen from the ashes,a few weeks to piece it all together but they win!.You can see why other teams are suspicious or shall we say jealous.All they need to know is in the name of the team BRAWN GP.

    • EASTER BUNNIES

      Hello people Easter is just around the corner and a lot of people are planning on getting thier Kids/Grandkids/Nieces & Nephews a pet Rabbit instead of an Egg....PLEASE DONT!!!

      Most people dont realise how much looking after rabbits take,its on a par with dogs.They need a lot of attention and love not just a wee pat on the head while your giving them a carrot.


      One of the main reasons I only work part time now is so I can give my rabbits the attention they deserve.I try to let them each out for at least an hour a day (so thats quarter of my day) but its not always that easy.Obviously my having so many rabbits is not the norm but it is the result of adopting rabbits off of friends who didnt have the time or room for them.


      Rabbits are social animals and like a lot of attention so you need to take time out each day to let them play.They can also be quite vicious and are strong minded so they wouldnt take kindly to children grabbing at them and they can inflict quite nasty injuries if they feel threatened (my family have the scars to show it).


      I was 23 before I could look after Rabbits properly and understand the task I was undertaking so dont think a 6/8/10/12 year old would be able to do it justice.Do you really want to be the one holding the bunny? So many rabbits get shoved in a hutch and mostly forgotten and that is so cruel for these lovely intelligent animals to be treated that way.


      My Bunnies each have their own personalities and bring me a lot of happiness and enjoyment.Rabbits make awesome pets so Im not saying dont ever get one but PLEASE think long and hard before taking on such a needy pet,do you have the time to invest in one.


      Chocolate may not be the best thing for you to eat but its better than getting an unwanted pet.

    • Tribute to my Joe

      Sadly today 20th October I had to get my little Joe bunny put to sleep,she got the same illness that Runty had and I couldn't put her through that.
      There isn't much I can add to Josies story that I didn't already write in Runtys tribute as they were always together.
      She took after her mother in many ways and was very nosy but if she didn't want you in her hutch she would gently bite hold of your fingers and push you out.
      When it was meal times she would be quite impatient when you were feeding others,stamping her foot and flinging the bowls about.She would also try to throw the bowls out of the hutch when you were just trying to feed her...difficult wee bugger.
      Whenever you had the door to her their hutch open she would try to mastermind an escape but rarely had the courage to jump out,I would occasionaly place bricks beneath the door so that she and Runty could have a step down.
      She could sometimes strike you as quite an elegant rabbit,she would sit up straight and plump out her ruff (also like her mother) giving off a regal aura.
      There was nothing cuter than watching her snuggled up to Runty giving him a clean.They would often be found cuddled up in their bedroom with both their chins resting on a brick with noses pocking out of the doorway...an image that will stay with me forever.
      Joe has been buried in the garden next to Runty.More snowdrops will need to be planted.

      3hrs 10min was my time and yeah I did lie down for a while after 24miles because it became a bit too much to handle! somehow I managed to soldier on after that!

      I know, people are not liking Lewis just now. And Eddie Jordan and DC have it right - well we've been saying it for 2 seasons. He needs to be at the back to learn some skills and some manners. Do you see him in a McLaren next year? Who else would take him - cause when they sign him they also sign Daddy?
      Giancarlo is doing well. What is happenign to BMW?

      I swear this is the best season is such a long time - 1998 and the Hakkinen glory was probably last time I enjoyed it so much. Lewis is going to chuck ALL of his toys out soon. Rumour going around that he was overheard in hotel on Saturday night saying he can go and race in America - well off you go twit-features and take your daddy and that thing you call your girlfriend with you. I switched over when his dad was interviewed on the grid - SO ANNOYING.
