- Me, Myself, and I
- I grew up in Kailua, Hawaii. I studied art in France for three years and during that time I traveled through out western Europe. When I returned to the U.S. I moved to Los Angeles and lived there for eight years, during those years I took art seriously, and had a studio in down town LA.
I moved to Seattle in 1990, I continued to pursue art here in Seattle for several years, but ultimately gave up after I bought a house in West Seattle about seven years ago.
I make a living as a cabinetmaker.

Hey Rob- nice to hear from you- not been over on Beebz much, I'm totally addicted to an Art networking site called Redbubble at the moment- you should check it out, very inspiring
www.redbubble.com (search AnitaInverarity with no space).
A BIG CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW PRESIDENT- I'm just made up about it, would have loved to experience the atmosphere over your way when he won !!!
Going to see Nick Cave in Edinburgh with my son on Wednesday- my birthday treat and his reward for passing exams- cant wait- hope he does good.
My ME has been playing up something rotten recently, I was signed of work for a month and just getting back into things- totally frustrating. So not really been out or listening to anything new, so nothing to report there I'm afraid.
Hope you're well Rob, Speak soon- Huggies x -

Labor day weekend was great! Now ready to start the new week!!! -
Anita Inverarity65 weeks agoOMG The Festival was knee high in sticky mud EVERYWHERE on the Friday and 2 days torrential rain on Sat and Sun made things unbearable unless you got wasted. I proceceeded to get in a suitably wasted state to cope and unfortunalely missed a lot of bands as a result.
What I did see was really random- Breeders (were disappointing although Kim was very charming) Santogold was really up and party vibe, Coral were stunning as always, Friendly Fires were fun post punk, Kraftwerk (or at least the guy from them) were very impressive as was the Optimo DJ Set (famous Glasgow Dance club), Kasabian Rocked and I met them in the dance tent (they were nice)- Mercury Rev was on at the same time and apparenty were the highlight of the fest (so disappointed I missed them).
Sat was a RECOVERY day for me, so missed Grinderman and Gossip (although I heard them from my tent) and Duffy too.
All in all I had fun but missed too much for it to be a successful venture.
Roll on Nick Cave xx -

Yes- Im loving Redbubble- Its really inspiring me to draw again
You are really good- I hope you get into it again and some money comes your way at the right time to get a studio (what a great thing that would be)
Cant wait till Nick Cave- You will see him 2 months before me
Did Lazarus Dig is a pretty decent record
His new moustache is a bit concerning though
Have a fantastic Weekend
We're a bit rainy here- so doing some drawing today of some Puffins swimming about (I'm not sure why- but thats the beauty of it I suppose) -
Anita Inverarity68 weeks agoHey you- I'm just trying to get tickets for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Not seen him since 1992 (phew). His offshoot band Grinderman r playing Connect tho (the albums pretty good).
You got anything new lined up ?
BTW- Have you seen the online gallery Redbubble. I have started putting some work on it- Do you exhibit locally or do much with your art (its pretty cool) -
Anita Inverarity68 weeks agoHi Rob- I was just thnking about your show. Sounds good apart from the rain. Shame the Dandys played a short one (they have such a big catalogue of stuff to choose from) but hey ho, Im sure they wouldnt have gone full blown for free (such is this world).
Im glad you liked it tho, it sounds like a cool event.
Connect is not till the end of August- I just got my tickets through and a really good sleeping bag in the half price sales yeeha.
I'll tell you all about it. Betcha it Rains big time tho.
My Bro,hisfamily and my mum and dad are heading to Wapon (I think thats how u spell it ?) next week (lucky things). We hope to come over to the states next year (pennies permitting).
I just spoke to a couple in my Art Group who have been to Oregon and that just makes me want to visit that state more and more.
Keep on your Meanside as the Kills would say. Luv Aneets. -

Wow I'm so jealous- The Dandys only have played one date over here in London this year- and I couldn't get time off work.
Have u see them ?
I went to an evening with the Dandy Warhols in Glasgow a few years back and they were fantastic.
Not heard to Hello Sequence- are they any good ?
Vancouver sounds nice. My brother and sister n law have invited us all over to the states next summer (so trying to save like mad). The flight goes in at either Toronto or Vancouver (I'm not sure) and then we will have a 2 day drive down to Wisconsin (where she is from originally).
I bet the scenery will b stunning- so I'm looking forward to that road trip.
I hear she gets the occassional Racoon out in the backyard too (Wow).
Take it easy Rob and enjoy the gig. Speak soon. -
