Hi everyone, just got back from a few days in Geneva with some friends. It was my first Winter sports holiday and I'm hooked!! We shared a lovely chalet with superb views. I did some windsurfing when I was younger and skiing was similar, really, once you can keep your balance, and like riding a bike, once you are moving forward, it's much easier to stay upright.

We had a lot of fun, and I've come back refreshed and ready to move on. It felt very strange after the play, you kind of take on the characters you play, and then have to let them go at the end of the run, I felt quite sad for a while, like losing a friend. It also took a while for the body clock to get back to normal, you don't want to eat before a performance, you are so nervous you feel sick, so you eat afterwards, which is late, then it takes a couple of hours to wind down until you are ready to sleep.

But it was a fantastic experience and I am very grateful to have been given the opportunity to do it. Mike Miller, the director and Sue Scott Davidson, the producer, both took a huge risk in giving me such a big part to play, but with their support and also Jay Benedict, the actor who played opposite me, I learned such a lot and will always be in their debt.
