A recipient
Justin
Born with a liver condition (Biliary Atresia), 20 month old Justin was placed on the National waiting list for a liver transplant.
After an agonizing nine-month wait, Justin's family received the wonderful news that another family said yes to organ donation--yes to a second chance at life for someone in need! Justin's mother and his entire family will be forever grateful that Justin is here to enjoy life because another family gave the "Gift of Life."

A doner
Valencia
Valencia Becton was a happy, vibrant and beautiful little girl. The 5 year old, brought great joy to her parents as well as her brothers and sisters. Valencia loved watching her favorite videos and she loved to compete in beauty pageants. Her winning smile had a large and lasting impact on a lot of people.
In January of 1996, her smile could only be a memory to her family, when she was accidentally struck by a car while walking down the street. "Because Valencia was always helping others and making them smile, the decision to donate her organs to help save other children was undoubtedly the right one", says her mother, Juaran Becton. "It has helped us to deal with our tragedy." The little girl with the big smile helped put a smile on so many other faces by being an organ donor and giving the "Gift of Life."
