- In August 1988, The Roller Coaster Club of Great Britain was created.
The main aims are to unite coaster enthusiasts in a social way, promote amusement parks as fun and safe places and encourage parks and manufacturers to create and install new and more daring rides.
It worked!
In its 19th year there are now over 1,200 members! These coaster crazy members go to great lengths to get their coaster fix. The average club member will have ridden more than 100 different coasters, spent eight hours in each park they visit and ridden 40 times in one day.
Since the first club events back in the late 80s these have remained the key part of being a member. Each year the club organises around 10 events. European and American trips have also been part of the trip calendar! There are also mini trips, AIRtime Magazine, a club message board, and a whole host of fun.

Yeah i agree the atmosphere is awesome..
My favourtie club trip though has got to be Oakwood..For me the atmosphere is the best !
