- Misanthropy was formed in June '07, when Keelan and Aarron decided to make a heavy metal band and recruited Gilly and Andrew to play with them. We've went through a few changes since that but it's all good.
Metals having a rough time in Omagh these days, so we're about to shove metal back up Omaghs ass.

The Our Misanthropy
Our metal, who art in Aarron's garage,
Misanthropy be thy name,
Thy metal come, thy will be done on stage as it is in the garage
Give us this day our daily metal, and forgive us our power metal,
As we forgive those who rap, lead us not into Indie,
For thine is Misanthropy, the metal, and the Micky,
Forever and ever,
Amen.
By Alan Gilmore, under the influence of whiskey and Dimebag Darrell.11 Comments 241 weeks

Review by Keelan McKernan
When the Genre metal, comes to mind. You think of bands like Metallica, Machine Head or Pantera. However, I ain’t a big fan of the genre; however this band kept me on my feet all night. This band is none other than Misanthropy!! Omagh’s biggest Metal band at the moment will get you head banging like never before. With a front man, that owns every stage he graces, a guitar and bass section with a wealth of shredding talent and a drummer, that would blow your mind. This band has no limits. Their recent performance at Top of the Town on June 13th was absolutely breath-taking. The set list was quality, the sound was good and the moshing was test of endurance. Opening with All That Remains classic “Six,” Misanthropy started their set with style. After playing another few metal tunes, they came to the crowds favourite “Pure Hatred” by Chimaria, which whom they dedicated to Matthew Hannigan, who is a dear friend of the band. They went on to play a few of Killswitch Engage favourites such “Rose of Sharyn” and “My Curse,” finally finishing the night, with their pounding original called Happiness and Heroin. Well done lads, you made my night worth while.2 Comments 256 weeks
