Sarah Hilton wins Women's Player of the Year Award

Sarah has been with Wyoming for only the last three years, starting in W16B.

When we processed her first registration, I thought I would have to get a clearance from her Papua/New Guinea club. When I rang her dad, he said “Club??.. she’s never played for a club, just school and kicked around in the village”
It turns out that Sarah had only had 3 years of Primary School soccer in Lae, on the Eastern coast of New Guinea.

Sarah came to us with excellent ball-skills, and a calmness under pressure that is a joy to watch. Her game has improved over the last three years, and will be a dominating force in Women’s Soccer on the Central Coast. She is a VERY quiet girl, but I have learned that is she says something at half-time, you had better listen.

The other award winners in W18A were Kirsten Everett with the Coach’s award, and Sara Hodges (9 years with Wyoming), getting the Players Player.
