- Words originally written in Arabic by Rumi
For years, copying other people, I tried to know myself.
From within, I couldn't decide what to do.
Unable to see, I heard my name being called.
Then I walked outside.
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don't go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don't go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the doorsill
where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.
Don't go back to sleep.

Yahoo news update
"LONDON (Reuters) - Feeling stressed or anxious at an inability to access the Internet? Don't worry, you're not alone and now there's a word for it: "discomgoogolation".
Nearly half of Britons -- 44 percent -- are discomgoogolation sufferers, according to a survey, with over a quarter -- 27 percent -- admitting to rising stress levels when they are unable to go online.
"The proliferation of broadband has meant for the first time in history we've entered a culture of 'instant answers,'" said psychologist Dr David Lewis, who identified discomgoogolation by measuring heart rates and brainwave activity.
"It was surprising to see the stress this led to brain activity and blood pressure in participants both increase in response to being cut off from the Internet."
The survey also found 76 percent of Britons could not live without the Internet, with over half of the population using the web between one and four hours a day and 19 percent of people spending more time online than with their family in a week.
Forty-seven percent of those polled believed the Internet was more important in people's lives than religion, with one in five people paying more attention to the net than their partner.
Commissioned by information service 118118, the YouGov poll questioned 2,100 Britons during the first week of July."
Which makes me think, why does the 118118 information service exist? In a culture of instant answers, we immediately deduce they shouldn't. Bad move 118118.

The Archetypal Hoora Man
We said goodbye last weekend to one of the great humans.
So many amazing memories, some unprintable:
Oven chips with brown sauce, Chess, rollups, mandolin jams, pissed in the horsa hut ("I mean, would you rather be here playing music with the boys or playing D*v*e Barrel at uni-hoc?") playing the judgement day, window/key ninja curtain and telly avoidance adventures, scooter, native accent promotion, accent singing ridicule, G*mes Wor*shop covert appreciation, Settlers, Lager, Flying fifteen, "Shamousay!" The Obsidian Order, Kildonan dun, hoovering, being hoovered, space cakes, Lord of the rings incomplete animated film, Fast show in the morning before clearing all the cones (and I mean ALL the cones) from your flat when I was 18 and a day, Sheer Luck Holmes, hung over on Sundays singing "Shite the Candle" punctuated by THAT laugh and "You dirty old man! You dirty f*ck*r!", playing, writing, gigging, Angel Fishing in the Vic, magnetic, hilarious, lovable, affable, indefinable, indefatigable, inspirational, outrageous, genius.
You set the standards so high for us all to try to maintain, we'll try our best.
Its up to us to now put up with the fact that the world now seems much more unfair and awhole lot less funny.
Make sure you keep us right, and the homebrew is on you next time I see you.
Your like will not be seen, but the love you brought along with you will stay for the rest of all our lives.
Kenneth Campbell Gilchrist: The Archetypal Hoora man.

- That makes no sense.
