Cafe Habana has for a number of years been recognised as the premier bar serving Edinburgh's gay and lesbian community. Situated adjacent to the Playhouse Theatre and Omni Centre at the top of Leith Walk it has become established as the principle pre club bar & popular meeting place. Offering regular drink promotions & entertainment it continues to be a firm favorite with regulars & visitors alike. We look forward to seeing you soon.

PRIDE weekend at Cafe Habana
Hiya well i hope everyone is excited about Pride next weekend (and keeping your fingers crossed for good weather)!!
We have a whole weekend of fun planned at Cafe Habana so be sure to pop along and see us....
Friday night see the start of a brand new night called Luck Dipp with the fabulous Lucky Luciano. This promises to be a great night with some cheeky electro and naughty bootlegs.
Saturday we will be open at 10am where we will be serving hot filled rolls. Ideal if you fancy some brekkie and banter before heading away to the march. We will also have some amazing Rainbow Roses for sale! you need to see these to believe it! But they are real! From 3pm to 8pm we have Scott Mellors hosting karaoke with top tunes in between and also.....Double Diva Drag Fever! The fabulous Scarlet and Cherry will be on-stage from 6pm-7pm! A show not to be missed! We will also be holding a Drag Kings and Queens competition throughout the day (finishing around 7pm) where we have a mystery prize for the best dressed King and Queen!!! Rumor has it that all the bar staff will be doing drag as well???!!! lol Finally we will be drawing the winner of T in the Park Tickets between 3-8.. so if you are in the draw come see if you win! If you're not in the draw its not too late... buy a Tennants lager (or a half) for your chance to enter.... ohh and i almost forgot there will be various raffles and such throughout the day to raise money for some very worthy charities! phew.....
Last but certainly not least from 8pm - 1am we have the amazing DJ Bunny on the decks bringing you his unique mix of old skool, dance, pop and maybe a hint of cheese!! All this a and some great drink promos on all day!!!
Now the weekend doesn't finish there!!! Sunday see's the final of our Habana X Factor competition with Scott Mellors from 4pm to 9pm. Now if you can hold a note and have yet to enter its not too late and most definitely worth while as we will be giving away a £200 CASH PRIZE to the winner on the day (as voted by our mystery judges!). If you do want to enter come fairly early to ensure you get a place in the competition.... Finally from 9pm to 1am we have the wondrous talents of DJ Paton who will be playing pop, dance, cheese.....whatever gets you dancing!!
Alll in all a packed weekend with lots going on.

I would like to kindly inform you that the person in the picture below ( Clark Stuart Edgar ) is in fact underage and has been drinking in your premises illegally !!! how this has came to my attention is purely irrelevant but what i will add is family relations is the source. Also am fully aware that he may have edited his passport and changed the 2 of 1992 to a 8 full date of birth being the 14.12.1992 !!! Now that i have informed yous this as a established nightclub i will expect yous will take action with this person on any next attempts they make to gain entry to your nightclub. However if i do hear that they have been allowed in and continue to drink underage in your premises i will not hesitate to inform the relevant authorities and then this matter will be taking further !!!

In response to the message below concerning underage drinking. Bebo won't let me reply for some reason! lol
We do take underage drinking very seriously at Cafe Habana and we do operate a think 21 scheme...meaning that if we feel you look under 21 you will be asked for proof of age. Details of this young man have been passed to management, bar and door staff.

this person named Andrew Quinn who is infact only 16 years old has been in your premises drinking on several occasions!! now that i have informed yous this i do not want it to continue and hope you take action. if it dose continue and i become aware of it then i will be reporting yourselfs to the relevant authorities for underage drinking!!!
