At first glance, I might appear to be a big green terrifying ogre. But there’s much more to me than meets the eye. I may look scary, but really I’m a kind ogre with a very big heart. I used to live alone in a swamp but all that changed when I met Princess Fiona. We had a lot more in common than we first realized. I love nature and especially my swamp home. I gave it all up when I married Fiona and moved to Far Far Away. I learned that marrying a princess carries a certain amount of royal responsibility. However, when royal duties are getting me down I dream of the days when all I had to think about was whether to have a slug or bug for dinner. I used to think I was a real loner. But that was before I formed a firm friendship with Donkey and Puss In Boots. Now I know that some people get under your skin – even if they get on your nerves at the same time. As I embark on a voyage to find Artie, Fiona gives me some exciting news that will change our lives forever.

My appetite is bad news for swamp life!

• I catch weedrats and roast them over an open fire! They’re also very good in stews

• Wart-covered swamp toads are another favorite – they’re especially nice in soup.

• Sometimes after a meal I like to snack on eyeballs on toast - scrumptious!
