- Ok, at heart, I'm a right lazy bugger. I'm quite happy to slob around the house all day.
I still live with my folks - dad was 84 lastbirthday (still in proud possession of most of his marbles), and mum's not far behind.
Got one older brother, Kenny, who's married to Maureen, and the have two lovely kids - Laura (15) and Zoe (10).
Currently, I work in the Fulfiment Center (posh name for a big warehouse) for Amazon.co.uk in Gourock.
I'm a member of SG-999, a fan based Stargate team. We do stewarding and so on for Sci-Fi conventions in mainly in Scotland (and one or two in England). Our web address is WWW.SG-999.ORG.UK
I occasionally write fan fiction based on Team SG-999, but haven't written anything lately. Although this could change if I get a really good idea.

Six months and a bit later...
Well, that's that then.
I got a phone call from my agency rep this morning. I've been paid off - "temporarily" - he says, "until things pick up again".
Like I've never heard that one before...
Typical, there was I making plans for the future - you'd think I'd know by now, wouldn't you?
Now I've got to go through all that form filling in nonsense with the DSS to claim unemployment benefit.
Bugger...

Hey, what else is new?
I have been right royally screwed out of my £100 bonus. Oh, I got £37 of it with my last wages, right enough, but what of the missing £63?
According to my agency rep, this year the bonus was tied into, and dependant upon, the following: Productivity. Attendance. Overtime. Health and Safety.
Let's take them in order - Productivity. The section I work in is attached to Shipping, we don't have to worry about putting out such-and-such many items an hour. As long as the wagons go out on time, and are full, it's all good.
Attendance. My attendance has been exemplary, I've never been late for a shift, never missed one either.
Overtime. To qualify for the bonus, I had to work four Saturday's in the run up to Christmas. Which I did.
Health and Safety. I'm attached to Shipping, I therefore wear a high-vis safety vest at all times while at work. Never had an accident either.
So what the hell's the problem? Last year, I got taxed on my bonus. This year 75% of it is missing.
I sometimes wonder why I bother...

Good news, bad news...
Good news on the job front - I'm being kept on for the time being.
Bad news - I dunno how long for.
Might be until the end of January... Still need ot sort out my transport issues. At the moment I'm getting a lift from a guy I know, but he starts another job on the 7th of January.
