D-Minor is a four piece Alternative Rock band from North Wales. On the 14/02/06 they played their first show at a local talent contest but since then new members have changed the band. The new members consist of:

- Ben Ditchfield (Ditchy)
- Greg Batley-Moss (Farris Roshambo)
- Lewis Wardle (Wis/God)
- Zakk Hollis (Zak)

Since the adding of these members the band has progressed at a steady rate increasing there set by more covers an starting to write their own material. More and more local gigs are starting to be played, Alternative Rock is about to have a new voice.

  • Review - Pentre BOTB 2009

First on stage were D-Minor - www.myspace.com/dminorband - featuring Ben Ditchfield - Lead Guitar, Backing Vox, Farris Roshambo – Drums, Zakk Hollis – Bass, Lewis Wardle - Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, with five tracks including Human Machine, Heart of Coal, a cover of Ozzy Osbourne’s Crazy Train and Why Are We Made? Throughout, Zac’s bass was excellent, Farris’s drumming was both powerful and energetic and within the guitar work there were excellent sustained chords interspersed with periods of intricacy, which amply demonstrated considerable individual talent. The ‘acoustic’ finale to the final track was inspired, and for me, was the highlight of their set, which was well received by an appreciative audience.

  • New direction.

    HERRROOOOO fellow Minorions.

As some of you may know, we had our last gig with Sam (vocals) and Mike (bass) on October 2nd, 2008, and for a while, we went a bit idle. But since then, we have recruited Zakk Hollis (bass) and Wis Wardle (Vocals and rhythm guitar), and have started writing some new songs, letting go of some of the old ones.

So now, the line up is:

    Drums - Farris
    Lead guitar - Ben
    Bass - Zakk
    Vocals/Rhythm Guitar - Wis

We will be playing some local gigs in due time, and some private ones for the sake of improving on stage performance. Its all good (:

If you have any questions on anything, either talk to us on this band website, or email me on d-minor@live.co.uk OR gerg321@hotmail.com

  • *VITAL NEWS*

About Keep The Beat, which should of been held in the playing fields of Shotton Sports Center and social club. Although the news paper article in page 3 of the Evening Leader states that it will be on this saturday, sadly, it is not. This is for 2 reasons: 1) as Keep The Beat only had 2 weeks too orginise the new location (thanks too the idiots at Horticulture college), KTB can not get the license too play there soon enough, and 2) Deecat had arranged it too be on the same day, which will lose money towards the charity event.

So, Keep the Beat will be held in EITHER 2 weeks time, or sometime in September. We will keep everybody updated on the issue.

But you must come, as All or most of the money raised Will go towards the British Heart Foundation. The bands playing will be Severenth, D-Minor (us lol), Return To Sender, Cal Roberts, Resound and Stolen Volume. The event will also include family events such as Fire eating. juggling, face painting, rides and a bouncy castle. The day may also include a bar (WOOP) and a barbecue, serving food and drink throughout the day. Admission will be £5, but free too under 14's and over 65's.

This will be one of the biggest gigs in Flintshire this year.

Thank you taking the time too read this, and keep your eye's peeled for more information.

And questions either message me on here or on www.myspace.com/gerg321 , or ask www.myspace.com/keepthebeat08 .
