Music
is my passion (well one of them). First of all love to play it, although me and my guitar have seen better days! :D Totally into 90's grunge like mudhoney, melvins, pixies, the obvious nirvana who's good stuff is underrated due to mass populization! Hole and other feminist rockers like pj harvey. Also soundgarden, jane's addiction, stone temple pilots, foo fighters, incubus, metallica, the doors, smashing pumkins, 30 secs to mars, kate bush, bjork, damien rice, wallis bird (yeah!), the kooks, kings of leon, bloc party, matchbox 20, christina aguilera, kanye west, timbaland!... I'll listen to almost anything once and sometimes my taste is completely incoherent! Will always listen to classical, experimental and sometimes jazz and country. What i HATE is trashy pop and glam rock.
Films
for an actress, i'm terrible at paying attention to films and think i'm better suited to books! I tend to have a few i like and watch them over and over again, like the goonies, last king of scotland, lost in translation, matchpoint, harry potter and lord of the rings, pans labyrinth is AMAZING. I like films that are a bit quirky and unusual as opposed to the hollywood blockbuster, but i did enjoy the day after tomorrow and i am legend!
Sports
it's a case of what i used to do and don't anymore so won't lie about it! I'm now resigned to dave's gym - my dumbells and rower - and equestrian activities. Which, let's face it, is more than enough exercise for one little girl. I do harbour dreams of one day gettin back in the surf though.
Scared Of
horses who put their heads down and buck, twisting their body while galloping down steep hills, spiders, cowshit, dave in a bad mood, out of tune guitars, wisdom teeth pain...oh and seafood hidden in food which doesn't appear to have seafood in it. That's pretty much it!
Happiest When
showing off (apparently), getting new scripts and it's at the really exciting anything can happen stage, being ONstage, reading a good book, feeling happy with what i've written, listening or dancing to great music, dancing in general, riding cross country and just hanging out with the horses and reptiles, when i finish an assignment, ESP when i'm with dave and jake and having a good old chat with friends and family. I'm a simple girl (Ha ha!!!)
favourite books
books books books - i'm obsessed! Will read anything once it's well written - it's good training for my craft! There are far too many to mention, but i just finished the book thief by markus zusack and it was amazing. Will read thrillers and general fiction like there's no tomorrow - have just passed through a karin slaughter phase. Also love more literary reads from all periods, esp feminist literature. As a bit of a science nut i LOVE science writers, esp those who can also write beautifully such asRichard Feynman. I do appreciate poetry, but have to force myself into it and then it's usually worth it! I also like reading screenplays if i ever have time, and loads of plays.

      We miss her so much already, even though she's been far away from us for a while.
      The sweetest, most beautiful and loyal friend anyone could wish for, she lit up our lives for so long with her infectious enthusiasm and love for life. She always made us smile, even when times were tough for her :) .
      It's unbearable that she had to leave us, especially like this. And once we get over the initial shock, we'll have to confront that quiet empty space in our circle of friends. But we'll confront it with claire's fighting spirit and accept that our special friend is at peace, her suffering is over and we'll celebrate the craic she helped us have in her time with us!!!

      The Musical Mystery Tour, It will take place on Sat the 31st of Oct (Halloween Night). @ FAIRYHOUSE COMPLEX, there will be yet again three rooms of music and in each one there will be a mix of House, Techno, Electro played from 4pm till the early morning hours. There are two heated in door arenas with a full bar and there will be one out door area. It is a Halloween party so best fancy dress on the night will win a cash prize.
