- This is a page dedicated to one of F1's rising stars.....Heikki Kovalainen. He currently drives for McLaren alongside Lewis Hamilton.
He came into F1 via the GP2 series where he was competing with Scott Speed and Nico Rosberg for the title in 2005. In the end he came second to Nico Rosberg with Speed in third. Renault were the team that picked him up and soon promoted him to a race seat in 2007. After a fantastic debut year in F1 Renault relesed Heikki from his contract but he was signed up by the McLaren team for the 2008 season filling in the place left by Fernando Alonso who would go the opposite direction.

God this guy is so unlucky.
Couldn't get his gears at the start and had to change his steering wheel and start from the pits.
Why can't these unlucky things happen to Hamilton?

As much as I like Kovy, Kimi is still my favourite driver
I don't think it was Kovy or Kimi's fault that they clashed, Kovy was just trying to defend his position. Don't forget a bit snapped off Kimi's front wing.
