My other regular gig Goodfoot is taking a rest at the moment but I'm involved with the new soul night at The Woodside Social Club in North Woodside Road . Our next night is Saturday 25th April. It's called Blacktracking and our guests are Dave Box (Wilton) And Kenny Burrell.

- Soul music of all sorts, funk, reggae and ska, Northern Soul, Motown, Stax, Atlantic, Chess labels. I'm biased towards the sixties in my musical tastes so I love 6T's R&B, mod, psyche, freakbeat and even country music. As long as you can dance to it.

Paul Massey44 weeks agoI don't think anyone who plays the Technics decks has anything to be jealous of re. my humble 45s! Thought last night went very well, a lot of the heavy-duty Scots soul fraternity (ie Alan Paterson, Kenny Burell) were very complimentary about it all.

Goodfoot was Glasgow's longest running soul club which went through various incarnations depending on the venue it was in. I used to set up the decks and play the first set from midnight at The Riverside Club and just warm up the floor at the old print workers' club.
