Eating no meat, but eating fish, doesn't make you a vegetarian,
It makes you a PESCETARIAN.

    So, we're nearly up to 1000 members.
    So if you have any vegan/vegetarian friends that have not yet joined;
    ask them too!

    At the moment, we are possibly the largest vegetarian group on bebo
    so let's keep it that way and ask your vegggie friends to join and even if you can put up a link on your profile or blog.. or whatever!

      Im not a vegan, but have been vegetarian for about 10 years now, i only found out wht sodium tallowate (cow fat) was a few years ago and was shocked and disgusted to see how many companies use it in their soaps,
      atm i use soaps from a small company called Kettler's Cottage, which use no animal fats and dont test on animals, but its hard for me to get hold of.

      does anyone no any other companies that do vegetarian soaps?

      Im vegetarian and have been all my life (14 years!), I am vegetarian because i do not like the way animals are treated before they are slaughtered. It's wrong. Animals should be treated with just as much respect as another human being. As somebody said below "would you eat your dog?". Doubt it. Would you like to be eaten? don't think so. So if your vegan, vegetarian or pescetarian, I LOVE YOU BIG TIME.

      but my doctor says I have to eat chicken :( otherwise I'll get really sick, coz im really skinny and other stuff...
      it sucks :( and I hate doing it, but I don't want to get really sick :( ??

      I don't know if everyone else knew this and I simply hadn't heard of it or what, but I found out today that Burger King use 50% vegetable oil and 50% animal fat.

      >:( All this time I've been eating there freaking fries and getting meat-less hamburgers.
      (Which in the end is just bread, ketchup, mustard and pickles)
      So now I'm really annoyed and frankly, fucking depressed as well.
      :( i'm sick of finding out that there's all these animal products in what feels like EVERYTHING!!
      God it's like the only way I could possibly get away from it all and be a truely selfless being is by being dead.
      My shampoo, my conditioner, my soaps, undoubtedly ALL have animal products in them!!
      Grr sick of big companies using animal products just because it's freaking 5 cents cheaper.
