This is a band where people become groupies/members if they are against art theft! This is also a place for the people who inform people with stolen artwork of what they are doing, and why it is bad. Instead of reporting and flaming theives, we are informing them of the matter of theft! :D Some art theives don't even know what they are doing, so we are here to tell them:

Using any artwork you find on the web may or may not be alright with the original artist. If you find art that you really like, and you know where the original artist is that drew it, ask the artist if you can use it! Or check where the artist has the artwork if they say whether you are or aren't allowed to use it. Many artists are giving up showing their artwork because they see so many people taking it without permission! It's not very considerate or nice to take someones ideas that took them along time to come up with, so why take their artwork without their consent?

  • An idea :o)

    Ok, I have an idea and new approach to this whole art thieft thing.

    -->The reason all these kids are taking other peoples artwork is beacuse they simply are not good enough at drawing to create their own origional role-play characters. They obviously feel very passionate about having their own character to role-play as and that is fine as it is their own individual intrest. However taking other peoples characters is wrong. It is thieft and does have an impact on the online art community with artists no-longer showing their work for fear of having it re-produced and stolen. It is also illegal as is stated in the international laws of copyrite.

    -->Anyway a way I have thought that a way for solving the problem, or making a small impact on those who take art would be to simply design them their own individual character specific to them on request. Or do as Yennahsi has done in one of her albums and provide an outline for them to colour as they please.

    We could happily do this for those of them who kindly understand us as artists and the threat to our origional ideas and take down all the art that they have taken from other peoples pages without consent.

    As I am on holiday now for 4 weeks I have alot of time on my hands and will happily design an origional character for those who take down the art and vow to ask permission from the origional artists themselves from now on and respect their rights and decisions regarding their hard work.

    This would also make you as one of these wolf role-players have a totally different character to everyone else. cool eh?

    -->To all you other artists out there: If you think this is a good idea please help out with it, instead of flaming the kids for taking what isnt theirs, negotiate and offer to draw them something origional, specialy for them as an alternative. And a reward for their understanding. Perhaps the reason they wont take down the art is a fear of being left with nothing, and without a character. So lets offer to help out.

    -->We could as artists think of this as a challenge, to extend our drawing skills and meet other peoples needs, so we're not doing it just for them we are doing it for us too.

    -->Each origional picture should be either watermarked or titled in a way that cannot be edited, with both your name as the artist and their name, to ensure no-one else can use it.
