KATHRINE MAYFAIR She's not yours: Ex-husband Wayne slithered through Katherine’s unlocked door, and he challenged her on the matter of Dylan’s scar, demanding a DNA test. The mega-awkwardness was interrupted by Lee and Stan, who were looking for a caterer for their commitment ceremony.
Wayne’s not the only ex in the picture: Adam showed up hoping to protect Dylan. He suggested to Katherine a graduation gift for Dylan in the form of a trip abroad — from which they never return. But before they could flee, Wayne knocked Adam out with a tire iron and whisked him away.

In a flashback, we learned that Katherine had gone to the police before to report on Wayne’s abuse, but he was let off the hook due to his status as a patrolman. But now, as she attempted to pin Adam’s kidnapping on Wayne, the cops were again less than helpful, and Wayne broke into the house. Bree pounded on the door, and Wayne held a gun to her until Katherine talked. She revealed that she ran to Aunt Lillian to raise Dylan, who later died in an accident. Afraid that Wayne would make her the scapegoat for the child’s death, Katherine buries the child in the woods and adopts a “new” Dylan at a Romanian orphanage.
Meanwhile, Adam, who managed to escape while Wayne was at Katherine's, drove through the commitment ceremony to save the day. Wayne, unwisely, pointed out that he probably won’t do much time, and Katherine shot him. The other housewives buttressed her self-defense alibi. At the end of the episode, time flashed forward five years, and we learn that Dylan is in Paris and engaged.






LYNETTE SCAVO
The People vs. Lynette Scavo: Lynette found comeuppance for slapping Kayla in the form of a visit from Children's Protective Services. Kayla went into Manipulation Overdrive and burned herself with a curling iron, landing Lynette in jail. Tom, still trying to balance his wife and daughter, told Kayla she was headed out the door. Kayla admitted to setting up Lynette while, unbeknownst to her, the psychologist who blew the whistle on Lynette was listening in. Kayla was packed off to her grandparents’, presumably to wreak havoc there.
After the five-year flash forward, the cops visited once again to arrest Porter for stealing a car.




BREE HODGE
Backup plan: When Katherine bailed on catering Lee and Stan’s commitment ceremony, Bree commandeered the help of the other housewives. Orson tried to help, but she was having none of it, that is, until she got a flat on the way to deliver the ice sculpture. Bree reiterated that she can’t forgive him for the hit-and-run unless he turned himself in. But before she can process that, Bree accidentally walked in on Wayne’s kidnapping of Katherine.
She later marshalled the housewives to cover for Katherine. The fast-forward placed Bree as a successful cookbook author, Andrew in a suit, and Orson still in the house



SUSAN MAYOR
Maynard's mama: Nine months apparently wasn’t long enough for Susan and Mike to pick out a boy’s name, so they decided on honoring Mike’s just-deceased grandfather, Maynard. Susan was less than thrilled, and the other housewives talked her into wriggling out of the promise. With the help of an also unfortunately named nurse, Susan fixed the birth certificate. Mike gets the news via a name-specific bunch of balloons, and sat Susan down to tell her what a stand-up guy his grandfather was: “I want to give him something to live up to,” he said of the baby. Susan agreed. Hey, kid, no pressure.
