ive been play guitar fo da best part of 3 years nd ive only had 1 crappy electric guitar nd 1 gud enuf accoustic now i want to spend lots of money (about 500EURO) on an electric guitar but am'nt sure about which 1 I shud get nd im probly only goona be playin punk rock can anyone advise me?

Ok, so im completely self taught and have been playing guitar for about 15 years
ive had a few expencive ones but they usually end up in the pawn shop when im skint , so ill stick to the cheaper models. ( less chance of me selling them )
ive decided to build my own Cigar Box Guitar after seeing some dudes on you-tube and have most of the parts needed.
i wanted to ask, has any of you guys built one?
any info on neck size, body design ( i have a smallish cigar box and want to know if that matters )
i plan to make it electric, but how ?? ive got parts from an old electric guitar but is there an easier way ??
