- Arsenal Football Club (who are also known as Arsenal, The Arsenal or The Gunners) are an English Professional Football Club based in Holloway, North London. They play in the Barclays Premier League and are one of the most successful clubs in English Club Football History.
Arsenal have won thirteen first division and Premier League titles, ten FA Cups, along with a number of League Cups and Charity Shields, but also in 2005-2006 became the first London Club to reach The UEFA Champions League Final. Arsenal are also members of the G-14 Group, which are a group of the Leading European Football Clubs, which is a great achievement for any professional club and, greatly appreciated.
Arsenal were founded in 1886, in Woolwich, South-East London, but in 1913 they moved North across the city to Arsenal Stadium, Highbury. In May 2006 they left their Stadium, Highbury, moving to their current home, The Emirates Stadium in nearby Ashburton Grove, in Holloway.

Arsenal XI
Just wondering what to have as another blog, and it occurred to me, what about doing an Arsenal XI, to show the best 11 players for Arsenal this season, in performance, attitude and all round ARSE-nal!
So, I've come up with who I think should be the ideal starting 11, in every game, (should everybody be fit) from the players who performed best this season for Arsenal!
In goal.. Manuel Almunia - solid season and proved himself to the Arsenal faithful on numerous occassions too. Who can forget the famous Robbie Keane Pen' save?
In defence.. Bacary Sagna - brilliant first season at Right Back, and his performances were almost as fantastic as his hair. Do I choose Gallas and Toure as they were (for the majority) solid at the back, or do I choose Senderos because on the few occassions he did start, he did fairly well? I choose Gallas & Toure. And Left Back? Well there will always only be one - the brilliant Gael Clichy.
Now Right Midfield - Theo Walcott all day long, what a wonderkid, what a talent, what a player and what a professional. Bided his time, waited for his chance, and then showed us all just what he could do. Centre Mid's fairly obvious - Francesc himself, once again a solid season, scoring more then the last and being an all round success for us yet again, and to partener him is Matheiu Flamini: My player of the season! Goes un-noticed some of the time, but yet again, alongside the Fabster' he was excellent, shame to see him go. And then Left Midfield - Aleksander Hleb. Although he has his critics, and hasen't scored a hatful, he's doe his job well, and I hope he stays with us.
Then the forwards. The 'up-front', 'up-top', the strikers, the goal snatchers, the poachers, the front men, whatever you want to call them. Without a doubt Adebayor first of all. Scored more then 30 goals, and his fair share of them were peaches! Can't fault the man, went on a bit of a dry spell, but bagged a hat-trick in front of the 'Huge Derby Crowd' and had an all round blinder! And with him, some would choose Eduardo, and although I miss the man and hope he comes back soon, I think Van Persie has been pretty spot on towards the end of the season. Feel sorry for the man with all his injuries, but next season will be a stonker for him I reckon. Can see a good 15-20 goals in him, and I hope he continues the way he has done.
Well done Arsenal, a - rather disappointing - 3rd place finish in the end, but overall it's been a success. Although it's yet another season without a 'cup' to sip from, we have moved on a great deal, shown everyone we are still the Arsenal of old, with our slick passing and BRILLIANT footballing ability, even without, Sir King Thierry, we can still achieve something rather extraordinary.
Some Bloke once said: "You Can't Win Anything With Kids"
So Arsenal replied: "FUCK OFF!"

Loyal'ness
In recent years, players have shown to clubs that they aren't really the most loyal of people - and Arsenal have been shown that too. With Patrick Viera, Jose Antonio Reyes, Thierry Henry, Edu and (most recently) Matheiu Flamini - these are the 'bigger names' that have not necessarily left us for more money or the bright lights of San Francisco, but have showed that being at a club you love isn't everything.
However, on a sweeter note, I'd like to congratulate (and shake hands with) Gael Clichy and Emmanuel Adebayor for NOT being money grabbing cunts and telling the Arsenal associates "look - we're the best in the world, we're young, frisky and if we play like we know we can we could end up winning anything we wanted" - not in those exact words - and have both shown that leaving isn't always the best option. After all the grass isn't always as green on the other side.
Basically what's made me say this is the fact that - in the paper this morning - I read that Clichy has told his Arsenal team mates not to follow Flamini out the door, and has basically said that if they want it bad enough, they will get it and succeed in capturing some silverware. Also, on a fairly similar note - Ade has told Barca "fuck off" and has denied that he is on the move to Barcelona, telling us that he loves Arsenal, and he wants to stay here and keep on improving.
I say here here, and as long as they both keep performing in the way that they so often do, I have no problems with that!

The Fans!
Well with a wonderful football playing team like Arsenal - it's not hard to support them - although sometimes it is more difficult then others. I mean we stuck by Arsenal when Viera and Thierry left, we stuck by them in the two consecutive seasons we finished 4th - below most people's expectations - and we stuck by them when the problems of 'everyday life in football' arose.
And because of this - our support has been shown. Now myself (as an Arsenal fan) I do like to show pride in the fact I support the greatest team the world has ever seen. *wink wink* But, to be honest with you all, I've never actually been to see Arsenal, as I can't very easily get up to London to watch them, and at only 15, I have no family members that can accompany me up there (however this is soon to change!) However it is clear to see that you lot have been doing your job!
I saw on Sky Sports News this morning (8th May 200
that Arsenal have the best average rating of Crowd Capacity Full'ness.. Now I can't remember the exact word, but that basically means that they've worked out how full (or how NOT full) is every stadium in the Premiership every week - and Arsenal's proved to be the most full out of them all - with an ASTOUNDING 99.5% Average Capacity Crowd. Now to me, remembering watching Arsenal at home when we were on that darn spell of 4/5 draws on the bounce and the commentators saying "Arsenal's crowd doesn't seem to be as full as it usually is, perhaps it's because of their recent slump in form?" Well do you know what I say to you fuckbags. Suck.. My.. Big.. Juicy.. ARSENAL!
As 99.5% over an entire season clearly speaks for itself!

Arsenal Football Club17 weken geledenChristian Zapata is shite, Yaya Toure Signed a new contact with barcelona at the end of the season, gonzalo higuain i would mind but will cost about 20-25m
Lewis i think ur the only arsenal supporter hu thinks we shud sell traore, hes class, hes got speed, stamina, skill hes doing well in preseason atm, I would prefer huntelaar over higuain cus huntelaar and van persie well wat a partnership cus they play together for holland too,
we need a centre back and a defensive mid, huntelaar could maybe replace adebayor but dunno yet, spurs r going for him too lets hope we beat them to the signing
a defensive mid we shud bring in mahamodou diarra from real madrid hes quite a quality player and is a defensive mid, or maybe bring flamini back milan hardly play him
Centre back shud b sum 1 like giorgio chillieni hes quite a quality cb for juventus, or maybe per mertesacker hes an alright player!
Wenger needs to get these signings! cus we're desperate for a dm atm!
