- The One Scotland Card for young people is now avaliable FREE to all young people aged 12 to 18 in North Ayrshire!
You get all the great discounts you normally get with your YS Card, ID and more - 1/3 off Bus travel, Free Young Persons Rail Card, and if you live on the islands 2 FREE return trips to the mainland a year.

Media MOB
North Ayrshire Council is starting up a new group for young people up to the age of 25 based around media skills and computing.
The group will be running for 12 weeks starting the 10th November until the 23rd February. It will be based at Kilwinning Library on a Tuesday night from 5pm-7pm. Furthermore the group is FREE for participants.
The group will cover topics including:
CEOP Training – Internet Safety and pitfalls
Building content and design of social networking site
Photography for websites/Stock photos
Design for music sites and youth sites
Media Savvy Training
Presentation Skills
Podcasting Training and Scripting
Video Blogging with Green Screen and News Room
Animation for Web

Mobile Youth Centre - Where Its At...
The Mobile Youth Centre (MYC) Pilot started in the 2nd week in January with visits
to Bourtreehill on a Tuesday evening and Broomlands on a Thursday evening.
We are half way through the pilot and have experienced problems with the bad weather
and high winds meaning the cancellation of a visit to Broomlands on Thursday 31st January.
The kids attending have enjoyed the experience and there are loads of things to do, if you
require any further information ask Damien Taylor or Laura McCulloch Community Workers.
MYC will be at Bourtreehill Towerlands Gate on Tuesday 12th, 19th & 26th February from 7 to 9pm
and Broomlands Primary School on Thursday 14th, 21st, 28th February and 6th March from 7 to 9pm

Young Women's Conference - Saturday 3 May 2008 - - 10 am - 2.30 pm
The Scottish Women’s Convention are holding an event for young women aged between 16 – 20 years on Saturday 3 May 2008 at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. All travel costs will be paid by the SWC and a contribution will be made towards childcare costs if required.
