- Route 81 is a youth project based in Garelochhead for young people in the local area aged between 11-18.
The R81 office is based in Garelochhead Church and at the moment any events we do in Garelochhead normally take place in the church halls. However.....by the end of 2010 we will have our very own state of the art, amazing, fantastic Youth and Community Building!
Route 81 has just bought the former Garelochhead Outdoor Centre and is renovating it at a total cost of over £1.4 million!!!!
The youth project has two project workers, Michelle MacDonald and Val Flanagan.

23rd October 09 - Closed - School Holiday
30th October 09 7-10 pm, £1, Thriller night !!! Dress up if you want to, prize for best dress, Be prepared to get messy and scared!
6th November 09, 7-10pm, Route 81 Charity Night and Chill out cafe ( tell everyone you know to come along- adults included - and buy Christmas pressies from Avon and take part in some fun stuff! - Chill out cafe as usual
13th November 09, 7-10pm, £1 Sumo wrestling competition
20th November 09, 6-10 pm, £3, Braehead and £3 challenge
27th November 09, 24hrs, No Slumber challenge, 24 hours challenge
Sun 6th Dec, 3.30-10pm £20, Pantomime - Aladdin @ the kings and all you can eat chinese buffet - DID YOU KNOW...
- Alastair and Michelle are in the Academy on Thursday lunchtimes if you any questions etc.
- R81 holidays
- Recently Route 81 went camping Gartoharn. In the wind and the rain. But we had fun and survived. We cooked our own food and went for a walk and nearly got eaten by a swan!! Lots of us got muddy and some of us got our head stuck in it. Check out the photos named Gartoharn!!!!
- Friends Form
- Route 81 members can bring a friend to in house events. Your friend must get a parent or guardian to sign and complete a 'friends form' (or known as associate member forms) before the event and bring it with them on the night .Contact the office if you want a form.

France Trip
We spent 12 hours travelling down to Dover. Then got the ferry to France, and there was a 2 hour journey to PGL. There was Julie's future boyfriend Ed, who was a PGL leader (lol Julie
) Activities we did were: Abseiling, Rock Climbing, Trapieze, Zip Wire, Team Challenges. We went sightseeing around Paris. We went on the Eiffel Tower and The River Siene and window shopped on Champselysees Street. We also went to Disney Land for the day and had loads and loads of fun. Then we travelled the 12 hours back home.
