This is a group to raise awareness of organ donation.
More than 8000 people in the UK need and organ transplant
Nearly 3000 get the transplant that they need each year
Around 400 people die waiting for a translpant each year
14,265,915 people – 23% of the population are on the organ donation register
The problem is there aren't enough donors
We have to understand some people don't agree with organ donation for whatever reason be it religion or culture or just personal opinion
Some people just aren't aware
I'm not here to convince you to carry a donor card and join the register
I'm here to give you the facts
Please become a groupie if you wish your organs to be donated after death

Wall of Life
I earlier recieved this message from Katie and would like to encourage you all to get involved:
I'm working with NHS Blood and Transplant on a new campaign called Wall of Life. We 're trying to sign-up 60,000 organ donors and encourage them to post their photo on the 'wall'.
As a fellow organ donor fan would you please be able to let your members know about Wall of Life? More details can be found in the group NHSBT Wall of Life and you can add your face to the wall here www.walloflife.org.uk

I had a kidney transplant 3 weeks ago and all is going well
support this all the way without the transplant i would still be on dialysis -

Im soo pleased to have found a site for this as I am a big campaigner for organ donation. My 16 month old son has a congenital heart disease and at some point will need a heart transplant. I hope that he never becomes just another statistic awaiting transplant.
