lesson 2 !!!
ASKING FOR SOMETHING !!!

to ask for something you use the sentence structure
____________ o kudasai.
in the space provided you must enter a noun, in which you want !
so lets say you want an apple???
the japanese for apple is RINGO
so "i want an apple" in japanese is ringo o kudasai
easy???
now all you need to learn are some nouns in which to ask for !!
fruits and vegetables
banana - banana
grape - budo
strawberry - ichigo
tangerine - mikan
peach - momo
pear - nashi
orange - orenji
tomatoe - tomatoe
patatoe- jagaimo
cucumber - kyuri
carrot - ninjin
we will put up more nouns (also known as OBJECTS) next week.
the particle KA
the particle KA inbetween two nouns acts like the englis
or, either eg. ringo ka orenji o kudasai
(may i have and apple or an orange)
the particle TO
the particle to inbetween two nouns means and or both
so ringo to orenji o kudasai means
(may i have an apple and an orange !!!
(if you have any problems with the lessons or didnt understand anything, let us know in a comment under the appropiate lesson, and we will reply)
(if you would also lik to learn the japanese for any nouns realated with this topic ask us, in a comment under this lesson, and we will post them under the lesson )
thanks again

*ogenki desu ka, has a serious meaning and should only be said when you have not see a person in a very long time.
you may have noticed that on some of the phrases i told you to let out some of the letters mainly u... in the japanese language, the somethimes dont pronunce these lettes and the are not heard... the letters will always be a vowel <i,U> are the only ones...
learn this list, and hopefuly be able to say this list, good look...

language exchange!! from Kyoto
by
Goki Koshi
Hi,there.0 Replys 101 weeks
I'm Goki ,a university student in Kyoto, Japan.
Please let me introduce a new SNS for language studying and international communication .
Actually, half of the users are Japanese.
The SNS is "lang-8"
http://lang-8.com/?l=en
What is lang-8?
→lang-8 is SNS(Social Networking Service) site for language exchange and international communication.
In this site, you can write in the language which you are studying , and the users (whose mother language is the lanugage you are studying ) will correct your diary.
And you can correct their diary who are studying your mother language and write diaries in your mother language.
You are able to not only learn a language, but help teach others your own language as well.
For example, if there is a Japanese person studying English and an American person studying Japanese, the American can correct the English entries of the Japanese, and the Japanese in turn can correct the Japanese-written entries of the American.
It helps to make teaching one's mother language simpler and takes less time than traditional teaching methods.
It is also very beneficial to be taught and corrected by a native speaker of the language you are studying.
In this way, with lang-8, users can teach and learn language as well as have international exchanges with each other.
lang-8 is reported by JapanTimes Article
http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-b...
I hope you will enjoy lang-8 !
Thank you !
