The fantastic Falkirk based band Lamens Terms came to perform for us & to chill out before there last run of new years gigs are finished. In an unique turn of events, the normal semi-acoustic and fully electric combo turned up with two semi-acoustic guitars and declared that they were trying something new.

So setting up, one semi-acoustic (the one Sarah normally gigs with) set up and the vocals tweaked, Steve plugged in his own semi-acoustic (with some dubious looks, he had never plugged it in before and wasn't even sure it worked, for the record, it did). So set up and sound checked everyone settled in and grabbed coffee's, hot chocolates and proper hardcore ristretto's and relaxed for ten minutes listening to the background music comprising of everyone who has played in the last year and will play soon.

Taking to the stage, Lamens Terms stormed onto the stage.... two acoustic guitars making no dent in the enthusiasum or the fun they had on stage and only adding to the vitality they put across in there music. Playing songs like 'one kiss', 'caught red handed', 'the long goodbye' and a cover of sweetchild of mine (off the cuff because it was fun) the experiment held and the raw clean sound thy had with the two acoustics was a fantastic deviation from normal. With a little bit of heckling from the crowd (mainly Steve's friends) about him not getting away with mistakes on an acoustic guitar (of which there were only one or two negligable fret buzzes or the like) they carried on mirth bound and having a relaxing time. After 40 odd minutes of uninterupted music Lamens Terms took there leave, got tea and coffee and the music went back on for an hour whilst people could sit and chat, music and life and chilll out fully in the last unplugged sesh till the new year.

Heylo...

Firstly... A Merry Christmas and a Stunning New Year from all the staff. And a huge thank you for all the people who gave in cards and wee presents, we were actually bowled over by them (though the waitresses quickly recovered to eat the chocolate ).
Unluckily enough we tried opening till 8 over the Christmas period but no one was around to join us for a coffee and some cake. So back to normal, well almost, Christmas eve is 9 - 4 and boxing day is 12 - 4., and we are closed on Christmas Day and new Years Day. The New Year hours are still to be decided.
I suppose thats all... and if we don't see you before then have a brill festive season and we look forward to new stuff and exciting times in 2008.
