Queen were an english rock band formed in london,england in 1970 by Freddie Mercury,Brian May and Roger Taylor, and then John Deacon joining in 1971.They are britain's most succesful band of the last three decades and still are rated as one of the greatest bands of all time by many. this could be because of the 18 No.1 albums and 18 No.1 singles that they have had.Mercury died from aids in 1991, less than 24 hours after he finally confessed to the public of suffering from the fatal disease.Queen are still selling albums worldwide and have sold over 300,000,000 albums to this day and are still selling regularly.

Following Mercury's death and Deacon's retirement, Taylor and May are collaborating with Paul Rodgers.

And, May's perm kicks ass!

    Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara; 5 September 1946 – 24 November 1991) was a British rock musician and songwriter, best known as the iconic lead singer and pianist of the rock band Queen. He is remembered for his vocal abilities and charisma as a live performer. As a songwriter, he composed many international hits, including "Killer Queen", "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Somebody to Love", "We Are the Champions" and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love". In late 1991, Mercury died of complications from AIDS.
