A 12-year-old boy who collided with a car in Grays has died after an eight-day fight for life.
Ryan Cassar,of Camden Road,Chafford Hundred,died last Thursday evening from serious injuries he sustainded after colliding with the car,on Hogg Lane,on Wednesday 18 January.
The William Edwards school pupil was on his way to lessons when he collided with a Ford Focus shortly before 8am.
After initally being taken to Basildon Hospital, Ryan was transferred to Great Ormond Street Hospital,in London,where he spent the following eight days battling bravely for his life.
But that fight,tragically ended last Thursday night when he died in the London hospital.
Brenda Watson,head teacher at William Edwards School,on Stifford Clays Road,Grays,said that Ryan will be sorely missed by everyone at the school.
She said:"All members of our community were devastated at the news of Ryan's death - taken from us so suddenly. He was a popular,happy and lively boy,who will be greatly missed by us all.As one,our thoughts are with Ryan,his brother Luke,and their family at this dradfully sad time.We hope they will,in time,find peace."



Well i know that everyone of his friends and family will miss him more then ever.
