About Me

Quite possibly the best athletics club in the World.
Me, Myself, and I
Whitemoss AAC was formed in 1990 and since then its has become more and mre popular even winning Club of the Year a few times. There are now in excess of 150 members who range from under 9s to the not so young!
The club is entirely self funded; depending on athlete membership fees and fund raising events to stay afloat.

Based at the John Wright Sports Centre in East Kilbride
Training takes place on Monday and Thursday nights between 7 and 8, but many groups train on other days in addition to this.

Even if you are not part of whitemoss athletics still add us as a fan, the more the merrier!!!

    Track is closed again 2nyt (22nd june).

  • Another successful Lasertag visit

    So friday night brought with it another successful laserquest outing for the under 11s and up.
    I had loads of fun and even managed to come in the top ten rankings for the final of our three games.

    other highlights was lorraine's surprise birthday cake for her 18th the next day.

    anyways enough of my rambling.

    Another one will hopefully be in the cards soon, and photos too

    It was announced on Saturday at the club dance that one of our longest standing and favourite coaches has decided to retire from Coaching. Frank, all i can say is that we will miss you alot, what will we do without your insights and witty banter.

    As i said we will all miss you and we hope you will visit us often and attend all the social events that the club has to offer.

  • 24 Hour Run

    This year the 24hr run takes place on the 12th and 13th of June at the John Wright Sports Centre. It is a way of raising money for Cancer Research. it takes place from 7pm on the Friday and lasts to 7pm on the Sat.
    On the Friday night there is a candle ceremony which helps us to remember those who have died from cancer and those who have survived. During the saturday there are lots of activities which you can take part in and it is a good team bonding excersise and you get to know different people.

    However last sadly very little sponsor money was handed to me therefore it is a dissappointment to not only the poeple that sponsored you but too the good cause thatyou were doing it for.

    Anyone who wishes to take part is required to fill an online for mwhich requires you to pay £15 donation for over 16's and £5 for under 16's.

    Due to the amount of responsiblilty we must limit the age of people who stay over night to 17yrs and older due to anything that may go wrong.

    Most importantly i think you would agree is that we are raising money for a good cause and also helping the community aswell.

  • Euro 2008 Prediction Compeition

    I've got a Euro 2008 competition going on the website. Entry forms are available from www.whitemossaac.bravehost.com. Simply predict the scores in the first round matches.

    Closing date is 6th June, the day before the tournament. Either email entries or send them by traditional snail mail. Extra forms will be put up on the noticeboard and in the cabin.

      Just a reminder that the Club Champs are on Sun 13th Sept and the closing date is Thurs 10th Sept.

      The dance is in sat 19th Sept @ Robert Owen, Murray tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for kids. They are on sale now !!

      relay for life (24 hour) is the 12th/13th of june even if u can come down for the whole thing or just a half hour. its a great evet with activities throughout like diddy football, bouncy castles, bungeeruns, and lots more come down and help us raise money for a great cause.
