    Busy time of the year for the Aotearoa reggae scene, presenting the long awaited live gig from one of Aotearoa's original roots reggae vocalists, songwriter, guitarist, percussionist and the rest....the one and only David Grace and Injustice with his nephew's band as special guests:P orirua based Steel Burning.

    The former lead singer of the Porirua based Chaos, Dread Beat and Blood, and Survival from the mid 1980's returns to Wellington for a one off live true to the bone original roots rock reggae - not often seen in the live arena. Known for the song 'Rua Kenana' about the Tuhoe prophet from the Uruwera ranges that was a hit on the feature film Once Were Warriors.

    Porirua based Steel Burning recently formed in mid 2009 but have been jamming the reggae tunes for years under various names. Some members were part of the kaupapa Maori band Homefire Burning. One of the creators of Steel Burning is Graces nephew Anaru Grace-Treiblmayr and brother Boi....et ah anyways he's a mean as percussionist and drummer.

    "Though upbeat, Herbs' music is clear in its messages. Their 1982 New Zealand hit "French Letter", which spent 11 weeks on the charts, came to express New Zealand's anti-nuclear stance. Fourteen years later, it was re-recorded to garner support for the prevention of nuclear testing at Mururoa. Similarly, "No Nukes (The Second Letter)", "Nuclear Waste" and "Light Of The Pacific" expressed much the same sentiment.
